ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education : My Views

Overall Rating
So far my overall experience in this university has been good, I’ve made great memories and I’ve learnt a lot of valuable things that I can use in my future and in the real world. I’ve made connections by networking in the university and it’s been great overall. The factors that made me choose ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education over other universities is that fact that the courses this university offers are top notch; they help us develop soft skill as well as other skills that we can definitely use in the professional setting.
 

Academics Rating
The course I chose is B.Sc-Data Analytics, and my motive for enrolling in this particular course is the fact that I’ve always been interested in Data Science and Analytics so I wanted to further pursue it. The eligibility criteria is based in the course you choose and for me the criteria was to have 70 percent in my 12th boards and to pass the exam and interview stage set up by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. There are exams conducted every month which are the internal exams and we have one final exam every semester which consists of 60 percent of our grade. Overall, the academics prepare us very nicely for the real world.
The fee structure for my course is Rs. 40,000 per semester and around Rs. 80,000 per year. The registration fee, admission fee and the caution deposit is all Rs. 10,000 each. There are scholarships for the first semester based on the percent of marks obtained by the student and from the second semester the scholarship depends on the CGPA you get.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of my course has been really good so far as I am in my 4th semester and they have not disappointed me. Every faculty has proper qualifications in their specific fields. The way they teach us is extremely enthusiastic and amazing as then it’s easier for us to get to know the subject better. The method of their teaching is all around as they teach us from ppts and also practically in practical based subjects. Every student is also assigned a mentor to help them with whatever they need throughout their time in ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education is good and is being connected with the top companies in India. The placement percentage in our college is 100 percent and every student will get an opportunity to get placed into a top company. Placement also depends upon the CGPA of the students and also the interview that consists of practical things that we learned throughout the years.
 

Hostel Rating
The college offers proper facilities for the hostellers. There are multiple blocks for hostels as many students prefer to stay in the hostel. The hostel is hygienic and properly cleaned every day. Every hosteller is given a mess card so that they can have their food from the mess. And the hostels also have proper rules so that nothing goes wrong, there are also CCTV cameras in the hostels so that any wrong doing is caught.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Since the university is extremely large, about 98 acres. There’s a block for every type of course such as IBS, tech block and the law block, there’s also enough space for every student to be comfortable in classrooms and also within the campus. There are multiple libraries and the main library is of three floors and anyone can access the contents within these libraries, also multiple labs since the practicality of the subjects is necessary. The sports facilities are also good as we have a cricket ground, a football ground, two tennis courts and two basketball courts.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life was very enjoyable and very nice to be at. I was very comfortable from the first day and all the faculty members have always been kind to every student and catered to our needs. The college crowd is very diverse from multiple states in India but still there’s togetherness present. There are multiple clubs for students to choose from according to their interest and to join these clubs we need to go through a selection process conducted by the head of the club. There are also multiple fests and events that happened throughout the semester at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education.
