If you happen to get admissions in JC Bose University, trust me you won’t regret. In Haryana, after NIT Kurukshetra, if there’s a college that can provide you the maximum exposure than that is JC Bose YMCA. YMCA’s alumni base is quite string as many engineers that have passed out from here are doing fairly well in public as well as private sector. The only problem here was some of the faculties otherwise university has done wonders in the past and will continue with the process in the future too. The university has taken their time in forming it as they have made all the best possible things come under their roof and they have been quite successful in doing so as well. So, it starts with the academics and ends at campus life and must say all the parts apart from faculty have been very well taken care of. So, one will get mighty education coming their way, if they somehow manage to sneak in at YMCA as getting in here takes some doing.
Academics here are a mighty task and to turn things around one has to study hard. I adapted very quickly as the ones who lagged behind remained behind all throughout. It’s a quick reminder for the ones who are studying or wishing to study here that academic always wins here. It was a successful for the short four years that I have spent there because I still can’t believe that four years passed by so quickly. I did over 10 projects in the meantime, did a 45 days internship, invested 2 months of my time getting trained for placements, and gave all the semester and mid-semester exams and passed them with flying colors. I was also offered a job but due to my higher ambitions ignored and moved forward.
I am not saying all but some of the faculties were not interested in teaching. They had some great teaching acumen but were rather not bothered as if someone asks them a question, they will have the same answer that why the hell you are asking me when it’s already been discussed. Just Google them and don’t ask it again. If that’s the attitude of a faculty how can students feel secured as their job is to make student feel comfortable and secured. Some faculties were opposite though as they would themselves keep asking, am I clear? So, we had both the sets but the last set was just a few.
JC Bose University has launched a PPP (Pre-Placement Program) where they train students and make sure that students are ready. Although the students carrying back at the end of final semester are deprived of any such opportunity as the university has a certain criterion and those who tick those boxes are the ones who are given the opportunity. Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro are university partners since long as most of our alumni base is from those companies. The past students should be credited for making the companies believe in the talent that YMCA students bring to the table and placements worth 4 lakhs or more were offered to the students. In 2016, the year of my graduation the figures looked promising but I wasn’t happy with the kind of job that I was offered and chose to move forward.
Hostels are there in place as three boys and four girl’s hostels were enough, I suspect. Most students were from Faridabad or at max NCR and they didn’t mind travelling. All that green for the hostel students from the hostel facilities to the food that was served. Some of the students I knew stayed at the hostel for all four years as they believed that they will be unable to find such place and life beyond the YMCA hostels. Such is the case of the YMCA hostel that those who stay there fell in love with it.
The only bit or the question that might remain unanswered if I don’t tell you about the infrastructure of the university. I am glad this section has been brought it up because no matter how the teaching or the placements are, one needs an infrastructure better than the others to boast it among their friends and families. Luckily YMCA presented us with that opportunity by building a campus that boasts large buildings, the Shakuntalam (student’s party hall), the majestic auditorium and the fully equipped medical centre. The university offered every possible facility that a student can wish for.
From Community Day, to Crab Fest to the annual fest Elements Culmyca, everything was so beautifully organized at the campus that the ones who used to miss classes at will, were compelled to come to the university during the events. Stopping oneself from not getting bathed in the greener events means missing out on the life that no one else but only YMCA can offer.

As one of the most renowned universities in Haryana that offers students great chances, I picked Computer Engineering. The fact that our course is so intently focused on business demands is its best feature. There is less room for improvement. Students should concentrate on club activities. Extracurricular activities abound. In our college, one or more events are planned each week. More people are on campus, yet the atmosphere is pleasant. Scholarships are widely available for students in need. ... Read Full Review
I knew that IIT is not my cup of tea but NIT is what I was targeting for. My mains were miserable and I made it a point that I won’t leave my city if I haven’t got the college of my choice. Faridabad also has a lot of engineering colleges and YMCA University now known as JC Bose University is one of the best that we have in Faridabad. YMCA has always promoted quality education and when I tell someone that I am a passed out of YMCA people also say that YMCA is a good college. This does satisf... Read Full Review
