AI and Data Science Course at PEC Thiruvallur

In Prathyusha Engineering College, I have learnt so many things. It taught me how to behave with others. I also made so many friends and I enjoyed a lot in the college. The college has peaceful environment to study and enjoy. I have chosen this college because the placement rate is very high and now I also was placed in the IT company. This college can guide you to develop your career. This institute is different from other colleges because in this college, students are controlled strictly and ragging is strictly prohibited.

I have chosen Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course, which is newly brought in the college. The reason why I chose this course is in this course the college will teach the core subjects where you can more in-depth knowledge about the AI. First requirement for the college is the student should complete his/her 12th/HSC education. If you were passed in all your 12th/HSC subjects, then you will be eligible to apply this college. You should submit your 10th and 12th marksheet. Since the college is in Tamil Nadu, you can write its entrance exam. The cutoff percentage should be 85% so that you can apply for this college. If you want to join this college through management quota then there is a consultancy through which you can apply for this college. In this college it will conduct exams after completing 2 chapters in a subject the exams are conducted frequently once in a month. The subject teachers in the college are very useful for your IT career development. The teachers make you to do real time projects to get real life experience.

The fee of Prathyusha Engineering College is to be paid year wise. For particularly AI DS course, the fee I have paid is Rs. 1,90,500 for both college and hostel. During the time of admission, we should pay Rs. 10,000 as admission fee. Once we pay the admission fee, the slot will be booked and then you have to pay Rs. 1,26,500 as the tuition fee and then at last, you have to pay the remaining Rs. 54,000. In this way, we have to pay the fee. If the student has scored above 90% during the 12th examination, then the fee can be Rs. 1,75,500 rupees only. Tamil Nadu government will give scholarship to the backward communities but in college, there is no special scholarship.

For particularly to my course, there are 5 subjects in each semester and for every subject there is individual faculty who is highly skilled. The faculties are assigned to the subjects where the faculty is strong in their background. The faculties uses both blackboards and PPTs to teach students they take some real time examples. They teach you in an experimental way so that the students can understand very easily. They solve problems in a very efficient way so that every student can understand their teaching. In our college for every 10 students, one faculty is assigned as a mentor and that mentor guides the students in a right way to achieve their goals. Personally, my experience is if I have any doubt in my subjects, I can message or call them at any time and they will respond very quickly and solve my doubts.

In Prathyusha Engineering College, there is a main block, which consists of placement cell where they will manage all the placement activities our college. Particularly for placement cell there is an in charge and he will manage all the activities related to P & I. The students are helpful through this placement cell because any student can go to the placement cell and can talk with in charge about their needs and they can ask about companies that are coming to college for recruiting purpose. In our college, they conduct some seminars related to placements every weekend and tell students what companies are coming to college how many members each company will recruit all are explained through that seminars and they also conduct some aptitude and coding tests to make students to get a better knowledge. This year almost 25 companies have visited our college. In that, there are some multinational companies like Cognizant, Kara Technologies and remaining are for both internship plus placement companies. The average packages offered by almost all companies are between 4 LPA to per 5 LPA and the highest package offered by Kara technologies that is 6,75,000 per annum. During my placement, I have placed in Cognizant company and got package of 4 LPA. Our college main goal is to place the every student in the college and our college have about 95% placements record.

In our college, there are hostels for both boys and girls separately. In boy's hostel, there are 4 blocks and each block contains different year students and in each block, there are 3 floors. Each floor consists of 25 rooms and in each room, they allocate 3 students. Our hostel contains mineral water facility and also 4 badminton courts and also contains a gym with excellent equipment. For hostel students alone they are separated into 6 houses and conduct all games and distribute prizes and also gives overall championship to the winning house. Our hostel mess food is very nice. The fee for the hostel is Rs. 70,000 only per annum. The rules of the hostel after 6 PM. they don't allow students to come or go out of the hostel after this time. My personal experience in my hostel is excellent. I really enjoyed a lot and played very well and made so much of good friends.

Our college has one main block where administration office, placement cell, examination cell are available. For each department, it contains separate blocks. There is one computer science block, one AI DS block, one Electrical Computer Engineering block, one Biotechnology block, one Information Technology block, and one Mechanical block. One basketball court, one temple, one cricket court, three volleyball courts, and one handball court and one football court are also well built in the campus. The total size of our college is about 60 acres. The college is located in Tiruvallur. In our college, each block contains 12 classrooms and in each classroom, the seating capacity is 60 students. Our college contains one central library, one seminar hall, one multipurpose hall, and one mega computer lab. For each department, there are 3 computer labs, one electrical lab, and one big conference hall. Our college has two shops: in one, all the stationary items are available and in another canteen, all the food items are available. For day scholar students the bus transport is available for every routes. In college, the security is very high if any unwanted things are happen then there are security guards to take care of those incidents. My favorite place in the college is our grounds and we can play whatever we want and also we interact with many students. The computer labs and library are opened always and there we can study very well and the environment in those places is very quiet and calm.

My overall campus life is excellent. The college crowd is about 4000 students and almost there are near 500 faculties. In our college, there are so many clubs like science club, robotics club, arts club, environmental club, sports club, events club, etc. Particularly I am a part of the sports club, and I have conducted many sports events and also. We celebrate a sports day. In our college, every year there will be some fests and symposiums and there every student can be able to participate and also win prizes. I have participated in all the sports events and received so many prizes.
