Affordable Pharmacy Education at SIIP Ranga Reddy

Overall It’s a nice college. The various factors that influenced me to join Sri Indu Institute Of Pharmacy is its academic reputation, affordability, campus infrastructure, location and accessibility along with Extracuricular activities. The overall experience at SIIP is positive, especially for those who take advantage of lab facilities, the faculty support and external internship opportunities. If you have no other option I would recommend you to join this. Students looking for cost effective pharmacy education college in Telangana and also interested in practical lab training and pharmaceutical research can join this colleges. For others I won’t recommend it.

I have chosen Bachelor of Pharmacy course at Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy. I am very interested in doing pharmacy so i have chosen that. The entry requirements at the college is entrance examination i.e. EAMCET exam. You have to clear that and should cross the cutoff to get seat into this college. Its general admission process is through EAMCET. For every two and a half month you have exams. We experience a balanced academic curriculum that includes lectures, lab experiments, and project works. The laboratories are well equipped and this helps the students in understanding real-world pharmaceutical applications. As some of the students also feels that the syllabus is vast and requires self-study as not everything is covered in class.

The fees of my course is Rs.1,00,000 per year and total cost of entire course is Rs. 4,00,000. The admission fee is around Rs. 10,000. There are discounts for ST and SC category students. The government of Telangana provides post matric scholarship to economically disadvantaged students, including those from Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, Backward classes, Economically Backward classes, Minorities and physically challenged categories. Telangana EPass scholarship is an initiative by the state government to offer SIIP to students based on the academic excellence and extracurricular achievements.

As a student at Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy, my experience with the faculty has been a mix of positive learning moments and areas where improvements could enhance the overall academic environment. Most of the faculty has done Ph.D in their specialization. The faculty members use black boards and PPTs to teach the calsses. The teacher-student ratio is 1:60. The faculty members are generally supportive and they encourage us to excel not just academically but also in extracurricular activities. In the pharmacy, Practical knowledge is as important as theory and our faculty satisfies that.

The placement opportunities at Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy are decent. They may not be as abundant or lucrative as those at some of the more well-known pharmaceutical institutes. If you’re aiming for entry level positions in the pharmaceutical industry, there are chances, but off-campus opportunities may be more fruitful. In research roles, the college provides a solid foundation. Roughly 30% to 40% students manage to secure placements through campus placements.

Yes, Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy offers residential facilities. The girls and boys hostels are separate. The hostel facilities are average to decent with options for single, double and triple sharing rooms. Rooms are functional but not spacious. The mess food is good but not exceptional. Many students prefer PGs or rented apartments near the college for better freedom and facilities. The hostel rules are very strict. The Hostel Fee is around Rs. 80,000 per annum.

The campus occupies 54 acres of land. It is located 20 km away from LBnagar at Sheriguda, Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy. Overall, The infrastructure at SIIP is functional and it caters to the basic needs of students. While there are areas like sports facilities, hostel accommodation and food facility that could benefit from further improvements. The college provides a solid foundation for learning with its well-equipped classrooms, laboratories and library. The cafeteria is another important aspect of the student experience. The cafeteria provides a variety of food options and it’s also a popular spot for students to socialize and take breaks between classes. There are basic sport facilities such as a basketball court, volleyball court and a cricket ground to engage in extracurricular activities.

The overall campus life at Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy is ok. The college crowd is 600 members in pharmacy. There are so many clubs in the college. I am not part of any of the clubs. Campus life at SIIP is a balanced blend of academics and extracurricular activities. The college fosters a livery environment with various engagement activities, fests and events. This encourages student participation beyond the classroom. Every year in the month of December the college conducts pharmacy week which includes all the events like traditional day, sports events and pharmacy related project works and etc.
