BBA (IB) at JNPG Lucknow: Academic and Career Prospects

I took admission in Shri Jai Narain Misra PG College in BBA (IB) in 2019. The college is very well known in Lucknow for BBA. First of all I choose this college because of its proximity from my residence. I also got the call from University of Lucknow and NPGC but distance is my concern.

I have chosen BBA (IB) as my graduation because I want to pursue my career in MBA. So I took it so that I can prepare myself for MBA. The entry criteria at that time were moderate and I have got admission on the bases of 10th and 12th score and GD / PI round. In total the course has 36 subjects in three years (6 subjects per semester). This college can provide you enough knowledge of the business but when it comes to how ready you are for industry, here it lacks behind.

Course fees at Shri Jai Narain Misra PG College in total are around Rs. 1, 50,000 now it may have increased by certain amount. The fee is to be paid in 6 installments of Rs. 24,525 per semester + Rs. 1,500 library charge and some additional contributions. Yes, there is fee grant for reserved section. There are some provisions for toppers in departments but I don't have much knowledge about it.

The faculty of Shri Jai Narain Misra PG College is supportive and approachable. They can assist a student in academics and even to learn some off campus skills through the experience they have. The most of the faculties are members of some reputed clubs and they are members of some known panels. Under the commerce department the students are not facilitated with any modern fancy equipment basic chalk and duster method is used. The faculty has enough knowledge and experience to solve the academic problems but sometimes due to their old method and lack of interactivity the students found bored and exhausted. The teaching style is so monotonous. The entire faculty is approachable except few professors. The professor to student ratio is 1:10.

There is no placement in Shri Jai Narain Misra PG College. Very few companies come to the campus for hiring students.

The infrastructure is quite sorted not so complex. The area of the campus is massive. The different blocks are arranged in linear manner. The location of the campus is quite busy and congested. Allot of traffic is there. Seating capacity of the class rooms is around 60 to 80 students. No AC only ceiling fans are there and even sometimes they are not working. library is not so value for money due to shortage and unavailability of books. Seminar halls are average. Canteen is decent and the sports ground is good.

Yes I have participated in the annual cultural fest of the campus where I created some good memories. The academic part of campus life was also good but I also had some bitter experiences. The college crowd is good and joyful where you get variety of clubs like music club, sports club, arts club, sports club, NCC, and NSS camps. Engagement activities are same as I described in point above like music, indoor games, etc. There is annual fest called Media Samvardhan where all the activities of the individual are showcased. My experience of campus life is full of some sweet memories and bitter experiences.
