Sai Vidya Institute of Technology: CSE Program and Admission Process

My overall experience till now is fabulous at Sai Vidya Institute of Technology. Connectivity is also good we can get the BMTC buses from a short walk away. Airport is around 20 Km far. Infrastructure is medium and facilities provided by the institute are good. I chose this institute over other institutes as I found the faculty of this institute very good. Here faculty is very experienced and is always ready to help you, is it exams or any other matter. If you want a good study environment you should come here. This institute is study centric institute and purely focuses on studies. That's why I chose this institute.

I chose CSE at Sai Vidya Institute of Technology because of the growing demand of the industry. CSE is a technical branch and it has scope in near future. You have to give an exam called COMEDK if you are from outside Karnataka and for Karnataka people KCET is there. You should have scored minimum of 60 percent to be eligible for admission. A rank of 50 k to 60 k is a required rank to enroll in this institute. Admission process is quite simple here, you just need to have all the required documents such as marks card Aadhar card, etc. and pay the required amount at institute and get your admission done. We have 2 internals and me external along with lab internal per semester. Exams happen every 1 and half month. Course curriculum is updated and it is industry centric and prepares us for the placements.

The fees through COMEDK is around Rs. 2,06,111 per year for CSE and along with that we have pay an additional fees of Rs. 30,000 for skill lab and study material fees which also includes dress for institute. For management quota students, the fees is around Rs. 3,50,000 per year and for KCET students the fees is around Rs. 1,00,000 per year. Sai Vidya Institute of Technology also provides scholarship for the financially weaker students and they can avail these scholarships opportunities. Scholarships amount differ from schemes to schemes. Average amount is Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1, 00,000.

Faculty at Sai Vidya Institute of Technology is top notch. This institute is known for its faculty. They are expert in their fields and know what they are teaching. They are approachable and will clear your all the doubts. Faculties are basically M.Tech and Ph. holders. Each class is attached with projectors and classrooms are well maintained and seminars are held frequently. Faculty help in solving problems of students. Teacher to student ratio is good and each department has 10 to 15 faculties. Relationship with faculty is very good and they feel like family to me. They are easily approachable also.

Placement cell of my institute is very active and they conduct frequent test related to placement. It helps students prepare for the placements by giving them placement training. Companies like TCS, Wipro Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL, IBM, Amazon, etc. do visit our institute every year for campus placements. Our institute offers highest package of 13 LPA and average package of 5 to 6 LPA. I haven't got placed yet as I'm in my 1st year, placements are good here.

Sai Vidya Institute of Technology does provide hostel facility for students outside state. We get 3 sharing and 4 sharing rooms’ facilities in our hostel. Hostels are maintained properly and kept hygienic. Yes girls hostel are separated from boys hostel. Yes, mess menu is good and they provide quality food for students. Mess menu changes quarterly as per students demand. Timings of mess are strict and mess closes around 9:30 PM at night. Hostel fees are around Rs. 85,000 per year including accommodation and food. I personally love hostel very much as it gives homely vibes.

Overall campus life is amazing. I'm enjoying my institute life at its fullest. Institute crowd is amazing and people here are friendly and interactive. Institute has several fests such as Sanchalana the annual institute fest and Tech Vidya - technical fest conducted every year. We do have several clubs such as NCC Rotaract Club - a social awareness club Coding Club and Sanagama - a cultural club. Overall campus life is amazing here and people here are amazing too.
