First Year’s Insights at ACMS, New Delhi

Overall Rating
The first year can be pretty fascinating and different especially if you are from a non defense background. The morning PT, long lectures and the compulsory evening sports make it a love and hate relationship with the college. The learning atmosphere is perfect. The feeling of being a medical cadet cannot be experienced anywhere else.
 

Academics Rating
The academics at the Army College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is tough but manageable with little efforts, you need to balance studies, sports, and extracurricular activities. My advice would be start studying a little right from the beginning and not wait for the exams, this way the pressure will be less and you will be able to represent the college in outstation academic events along with passing the exams.
One time fee of Rs. 90,000 is to be paid at the time of admission, after that the fee is very low. You also get stipends every month of around Rs.1,200.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is all experienced professors with profound knowledge of their subjects. The faculty is great and they make sure that they make you a doctor. The striking feature of the this college is the exceptional teaching methods of the faculties and the individual attention paid to each student certainly helps a lot in the academic growth as well as any personal problems experienced by the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very good unlike other government medical colleges, as the college is very old, established in 1962 the buildings are very vintage and they give classic appearance. The brick builds and the broad hallways make the college look like Hogwarts of the medical field. The labs and classrooms are up to the date with all the modern facilities which can be made available like projector screens, air conditioning, etc.
 

Campus Rating
There are a lot of clubs in Army College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Few of them are based on sports and cultural activities. For sports you can take part in badminton, hockey, basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, tennis, squash, and table tennis. Indoor games include carom and ludo. Other clubs in college are dramatics, music club, fine arts club, dance club. There are also clubs like Pragyas club for social service.
