Affordable Fee Structure for Law Education at Delhi Metropolitan Education Noida

My overall experience at Delhi Metropolitan Education has been good. Firstly, the faculties are really helpful. We have many recently graduated faculties in which some might see as a drawback due to their limited experience, however, I find it beneficial as it helps the students and faculties to connect better. I chose this college at the recommendation of two of my seniors, and I would give my overall experience 8 out of 10 to the college.

I have been enrolled in B.A.LL.B - 5 years integrated course. I was inclined towards studying law, and did not want to go in for 3-year graduation and then 3 years of LL.B. Hence I chose to pursue this course. The college accepts CLAT and the admission procedure are based on counselling at the Parent University, i.e., Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The college also reserves 10% seats for management quota. We have 10 Semesters in the course, 9 semesters for the exam, and the 10th semester has internship and a dissertation. The life at Delhi Metropolitan Education is not very hectic academically. The syllabus was recently updated by the university.

The fee for my batch was around Rs. 80,000 for a year. However, the fee has increased from 2020 now. There is no hostel in the college, so the students need to look for PGs / hostels on their own. The college might sometimes help the students in finding the hostels nearby. Delhi Metropolitan Education provides scholarship / medals for the top 3 students every year - 50%, 25%, and 10% respectively. It also provides Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship.

The faculties are mostly recent graduates in Law, with 3-4 years of prior experience. While some people might see it as a drawback, we believe it to be a plus point as it helps us to connect with the faculties at a better level. They teach us in innovative ways that we understand, using ppts, videos, bare acts and even by dictating notes sometimes. The teacher-student ratio is 1:60, as there are 60 students in one section, and total 180 in B.A.LL.B, and 120 in BBA.LL.B. The faculties are approachable, friendly, and well-read with their subjects.

The placement cell at Delhi Metropolitan Education is still at its initial stage. Hence, there are not many details on this area. We recently had a placement program, where different companies visited for internships, and interested students have been approached by the TPO for future placements, however, there is no brochure/information about the same as of now.

The Delhi Metropolitan Education college does not provide hostel facilities.

The College has a small campus, and is located in the Industrial Area of Sector 62. The Classroom has a capacity for 60-70 students, and is equipped with a whiteboard, Projector, ACs, Fans, and Desks. We have an auditorium, Seminar Hall, Library, Amphitheatre, and a Canteen. The college does not provide any transportation facility. Students like to sit in the Amphitheatre in winters and in the Canteen during summers.

Overall, I would give my college life an 8/10. The college crowd is mixed, and I would give it a 7/10. There are many clubs, like Moot Court Society, Research Cell, Debate Society, Dance and Music Society, and so on. I have headed and been a part of some of these, and students and faculty do an amazing job here. The academic programs at Delhi Metropolitan Education are 9/10, but the fests are not up the mark here.
