Pondicherry University Placements: Opportunities and Career Growth

This Pondicherry University has a wide campus with all kinds of facilities and a good exposure for the students. It gives wonderful experience for us. I chose this university over the others because it is a famous university in our union territory with lots of courses to get in as compared to others. The main difference between this university and others is that it has wide range of students from different parts of India and even abroad. Therefore, we can socialize easily with everyone.

The course I chose is integrated in the branch of Computer Science. The motive is a faculty from this university. She helped me chose this course and my brother and sister guided me through this. The entry requirements are to apply for the examination conducted by NTA-CUET examination. In addition, with the cut off and good scores we can join this university. Admission process is also quick as per the academic calendar. These academics prepare me to do well in practicals.

The fee structure is of this course is semester wise. It is about Rs. 3,200 and Rs. 12,200 respectively for odd and even semesters. This fee per semester includes tuition fee and other charges. The registration fee is separate. For specific category students, there are discounts based on the category. Of course, we get scholarship in each semester based on the CGPA scored in the semester exam.

The faculty members are soft spoken, well educated and knowledgeable. They are friendly, helping us gain more knowledge. The faculties have done Masters in Engineering and respective branch and have did a PhD in the branch. The method of teaching is by taking lectures, seminars, class activities, and smart board teachings. The faculties help students in solving the problems. We have a good teacher to student ratio in our department. The faculties are more approachable and help us to get more knowledge.

The placements cells are average in this university. For placement initiation, seminars, workshops, and programs are conducted here. The renowned companies are TCS and Amazon. The packages are average.

The hostel facilities are good. However, the food is not up to the mark and can be improved. It is offers meals 3 times a day + teatime. There are many girls and boys hostels inside our campus. The boys and girls hostels are separate only. The hostel fee is about Rs. 11,900 per semester. The hostel timings are not provided, as there are no restrictions in the campus for both girls and boys.

The campus of Pondicherry University is wide with good green environment. There are various kinds of departments for each branch. Inside the campus, there are residencies for faculties, hostels, playgrounds, gym, mess, and shops. The classrooms have good seating capacity for all students. The campus has a huge library known as Anandarangapillai library with wide range of books of all genres to gain knowledge. There are also labs, auditorium, seminar hall, and conference hall provided for the students. There are canteens with variety of foods. For medical facilities, there is a health centre inside the campus. Full time security is available in and out the campus. The transport facilities are also good as we have buses. This university has more playgrounds, courts and sports equipment for various kinds of sports.

Overall campus life is good. The university crowd is wide as we have tons of students in this university. There are many extracurricular activities organized by the university like marathon, etc. Fests and events do not have any scarcity in our university as we would be having grand events like Aakansha, Recursion, etc. My experience about the campus life is nice and this has good exposure
