Pachhunga University College: Good NIRF Rank and Academic Experience

My overall experience at the Pachhunga University College is quite moderate. The factors that made me choose the college is that the NIRF rank is quite good. So if you are from northeast, you can join the college. For me all the colleges are same because in college we use to go for studies, but there is some difference like if you are from a different state you learn about new things.

My core subject is Chemistry. I chose Chemistry as there is so much scope. There is no criteria if you qualify PUCET for the home state students and CUET for other states. Every month, the college conducts internal test which will add up in the final exams in a year there is 2 semester exams. The semester exams are not that tough and it is easy to score marks quite moderate.

The fee varies in every semester. In the first semester, it was around Rs. 6,000. In second, it was around Rs. 7,000. So yeah if I take an average then around Rs. 13,000 per year. There is no special discount.

Most of the faculty members are well educated. In our department, most of the faculty members are associate professors. All the rooms are equipped with projectors so they used to teach us through that. They give us assignment which enhance our learning. They can our solve problems quiet easily. The ratio of professor per student is 1:5. All the professors are good for me.

Pachhunga University College occupies around 134 acres of land. It is full of greenery. All the departments are divided into blocks like Life Science for Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology & EVS, and Physical Science for Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, & Science. Building for Chemistry. There are many blocks for Arts stream. There is a central library occupied with many books which is occupied with around 10000 books. There are labs in every department. There is one seminar hall and one auditorium. There are 3 canteens, buses for transportation, sports complex with gym, and other things.

My overall campus life till now is not bad. As Pachhunga University College is always crowdy and there are students everywhere I never felt lonely. There are many clubs which we can join which helps in bonding with other people. There is NSS program sometimes. The number of fests are low. In August, there is college week and in March we have MZU sports. My experience about the campus life is quite good.
