VLITS Guntur: Fee Structure and Scholarships

My experience at Vignan's Lara Institute of Technology & Science has been good as I have made lot of friends. I choose this institute because it is situated in my locality and there is no ragging and caste discrimination. It is better than other tier 3 colleges as it has NAAC A+ accreditation. Moreover, the fee is affordable for students from different backgrounds.

I opted for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering specialization. The eligibility is through EAMCET counselling and through management. The admission process is easy to follow. It begins with counselling where students need to report within due date after getting seat in the institute. The academics are very good. We have 3 mid exams and 1 semester exam at the end of each semester. The academics are very easy and help us during our placements.

My fee at Vignan's Lara Institute of Technology & Science is Rs. 44,600 which includes Rs. 38, 000 tuition fee and Rs. 6,600 building fee. The fee structure may vary for students from special categories. Scholarship is available for counselling students. Fee reimbursement from AP government can also be availed by students.

At VLITS Guntur, faculties are friendly, supportive, collaborative, and their problem solving skills are extremely good. They are highly qualified as most of them have obtained PhDs and some of them have qualified GATE. The teacher student ratio is 1:60. Their modes of teaching are PPTs and blackboards. The faculties are not judgmental and treat all students equally which has created a strong bond between the teachers and the students. They help us in projects, labs, academics without any hesitation.

The Placement Cell at the institute helps students get placed in a good company. They invite various companies to the on-campus placement drives which are conducted in 4th year. Students can apply for different roles at these recruitment events. Moreover, the Placement Cell provides technical and non-technical training to students from the 3rd year. The average package of the institute is 5 LPA whereas the highest package is 40LPA. Some of the companies which visit our institute are Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Cognizant, Accenture, etc.

Residential facilities are provided to male and female students separately. The hostels have 3to 5 occupancy rooms. Students are provided all the required amenities at the hostel like Wi-Fi, and library. The mess food is very good and non-vegetarian food is served on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. The fee for hostel is Rs. 1,30,000 for AC rooms and Rs. 90,000 for non-AC room. Students can also choose to stay in PGs where the monthly rent can range from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000. I would recommend hostels if you are not native.

At the institute, 1st year students are provided separate academic blocks. ICT enabled classrooms with projectors and seating capacity of around 70 students are available at the institute. Well maintained labs and a library with a huge collection of journals & academic books help students get in-depth knowledge. The institute also has an air-conditioned seminar hall with 300 member capacity. Excellent sports facilities are present at the institute for various games such as Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Chess etc. We have an open auditorium and a mini hospital. My favourite place is the canteen because it serves good quality food.

The campus life is good and the institute has huge crowd. They are many clubs for different activities like dance, singing, art, technical, etc. Students can choose from more than 200 activities which facilitates their overall development. We have student association council which conducts fests. The annual fest ‘Mahotsav’, the technical fest ‘Srujanankura’, and the sports fest are conducted for 3 days. Apart from this, the institute organises hackathons and idea-thons. We really enjoy participating in various fests and events.
