Fees, Scholarships, and Financial Aid at Jiwaji University

My overall experience at the Jiwaji University is average. The university is located in one of best areas of Gwalior. This university is suitable for students looking to prepare for competitive exams or want to start their career alongside their education.

I started my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the university in 2022. Students need to secure at least 70% in class 12th for admission in this course. There are two semesters in each year and 3 internal exams in each semester. The 2 highest internal marks are chosen for final evaluation and students can choose to sit for just two exams. I had to fulfil 75% attendance during 1st and 2nd year which is reduced to 59% in the 5th semester and the final semester had relaxed attendance criteria. The university supports students who are pursuing jobs simultaneously with their education. This is state university so it has good curriculum.

The fees vary for each semester. The fees range for BBA course is from Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 21,000. Students also have to pay exam fees each semester which is Rs. 2,000. The university offers scholarship for which the eligibility criteria is obtaining 85% in 12th class for CBSE board and 75% for MP state board. There is no category wise discount at the university.

The faculty is experienced and solves the doubts of the students. They motivate students to achieve their goals and take good career decisions. They engage students in classes by organising group discussions. Teachers also send notes to students.

There is no placement cell. However, in the 1st year we had few seminars where industry leaders were invited.

The university offers hostel facilities which are separately available for girls and boys. There are 2 girls’ hostels.

Jiwaji University is huge with different buildings for various departments. The classrooms are ICT enabled with white boards and projectors. The canteen in my department is in progress. The university has central library along with various departmental libraries. Curriculum books can be issued from the department's library.

Students at the university participate in various sports and dance competitions so that is a plus point. MBA and BBA students at the university organises a cultural fest which happens in April.
