My College Life at SKNCOE Pune: Placements, Hostel, & Various Others

Overall Rating
Smt Kashibai Navale College of Engineering is amazing with the best campus environment. The college campus is really big and it is surrounded by nature. In monsoon, the college feels like heaven. This college is good for education. It has good placements, hostel, and academic infrastructure. Part from this, students can partake in various events and activities at the college.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) with Computer Engineering branch. My reason for choosing this course is to get a high-paying job. Furthermore, I am passionate about coding. Students can get admission in this college through MHT-CET exam for which the cut-off is 90 to 93 percentile. The frequency of exams at the college is good.
My annual academic fee is around Rs. 1,00,000 as I am from open category. Many of my friends availed scholarship from the college. Students who are eligible for scholarships pay lower fees which range from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 50,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Some of the faculty is really good at teaching and has great bonds with all the students. The teaching mode of the college is PPT and blackboard. There teacher and student ratio at the college is 1 teacher for 50 students. I regularly talk with the teachers to clear my doubts.
 

Placement Rating
Smt Kashibai Navale College of Engineering has a Placement Cell which conducts various pre-placement activities. This includes AI-ML and IBM cloud training or communication skills development program. The average package offered at the college is around 4 LPA and the highest package is 55 LPA. Well-known companies visit our college during placements like TCS and PWC.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities of the college are great. We have many hostels which are separately available for girls and boys. The hostel has 3 to 4 occupancy rooms which are very spacious including. They are well-furnished with tables, chairs, beds, and attached washroom. The cleaning staff daily cleans our room. The hostel fee is Rs. 70,000 per year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college campus is huge. The classrooms infrastructure and cleanliness are not up to the mark. The college has a 4-floor library which is spacious and well stocked. There are many canteens around the college which offers tasty food at affordable prices. My favourite thing about college is the parking area and Cultural Centre's stairs because I feel very peaceful when I sit there in the evening.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience at the college has been good. The college conducts various events frequently. However, the administration of these events needs to be improved. There are many clubs for extracurricular activities like IEEE Google developer group. A giant annual fest is organised in our college which is called the ‘Spring Fest’ which is held in the summer. The fest has various dancing & singing competitions along with a fashion show.

    My experience till now is great. The campus is huge and evergreen. The faculties are very knowledgeable and cooperative with students, they help students at anytime. As there are centralized placements, there are many opportunities for jobs. There are many fests and cultural events conducted by the college.
