B.A Course at SRKPGC Ajmer: Fees, Scholarships, and More

My overall experience of Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls' College, Ajmer till now is good. I found that the crowd is mostly from Hindi medium which made it little difficult for me to adjust. The faculty is average. Factors that made me choose this college was the infrastructure and the cleanliness it has. I think most of the colleges in my city doesn’t have proper infrastructure and the cleanliness is not well maintained in them but my college gets a 5/5 score for this.

The course I chose was Bachelor of Arts, a 3 year semester wise program. My motive for enrolling in this course was that I did not decide what I’m going to do in future, that's why I thought, I should first pursue BA and in mean time figure out what my dream is. For eligibility, you need to score above 45% in class 12th boards. Exams are held in semester wise system. The academics don’t prepare you well for real life challenges, as it is mostly theoretical in nature.

This college follows year wise fee structure; the fee for my course per year is Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 27,000. My admission fee was Rs. 18000 and registration amount for the same was Rs. 300. Many scholarships are available such as based on class 12th percentage.

Faculty members are average; they've cleared PhDs and are highly qualified with years of experience. Teaching method is not very interesting it's just books, theories and their lectures; some day they use smart boards, PPTs, and group discussion. Students are encouraged to do presentation on several topics for internal exams as well as normally too in classes. Teacher student ratio is good; students are less so teachers are able to give more attention to every student. My bonding with Faculty members is great. Most of the faculty members are highly approachable.

As, I'm still pursuing my degree, I've heard from most of the students that there is no placement cell in this college. They do give certain internships but placements are mostly found in Nursing, BCA, BBA courses.

I don't have any idea of the hostel facilities, as I have not opted for it.

The infrastructure of Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls' College, Ajmer is great. I never thought I'll find a college like this in Kishangarh with so much cleanliness and greenery. College has well stocked libraries. I would rate college washrooms 5 out of 5. The classrooms are huge and well furnished with a capacity to accommodate 40 to 50 students easily. There is a seminar hall in our college that looks incredibly great, most indoor events and speeches are held there. Science department has good labs. We celebrate fresher’s and farewell parties in the college’s open theater. The canteen has good hygiene with affordable menu. Sports facility provided by the college is also maintained regularly. Medical facility and bus transportation both are available for the students. Security always stays high, with biometric attendance, parents get to know when their child is entering and leaving on their messages. My favorite part is the cleanliness the campus has.

Campus life is nice. College crowd is not so great for me, as they speak in Marwadi language which is difficult for me to understand well. Many events are conducted here like blood donation campaigns, poetry day, exhibitions, etc. Many social welfare events are organized here. They take us on trips to places such as Udaipur, Manali, etc. Fresher’s party, Farewell party, and annual fest is conducted in the college campus and are fun to attend.
