Fees and Admission Process of M.K.E.S College of Law

I'm currently a student at M.K.E.S College of Law. To start with, the campus is clean, calm, and very student friendly. My number one criteria for choosing a college were location and the crowd of the college. The location is Malad West, close to the station which makes it the best location because of the connectivity. Other than that, the crowd of the college is also really good. Academically, I've had a really good experience as well.

I'm enrolled for the 3 year LLB course. You need the give the MHCET exam, apply for the college, get a certain cut off and you will get selected. I got selected in other colleges as well but I chose this college because it is fairly well reputed. Teachers take time to explain every topic nicely and complete the portion. If you wish, you can take revised lectures and extra lectures.

The fee for one year is roughly around Rs. 35,000 which is not bad for the quality they are providing.

Faculty is wide and very well qualified. Most of the faculty members are young which makes them the best when it comes to learning as they understand what we need exactly. They have a very student friendly approach for lectures. They use PPT projector for lectures and share notes which is very helpful. Overall, faculty is really helpful. They are ready to give extra attention if you need any and always open for one on one discussion on topic which is great for your overall development as well. The classes are not overly crowded.

There is a placement cell as well. I don't know much about the placement cell but as far as I know, they give regular updates about the new internship programs. I got an internship through the college. Thus, overall college placement cell is working great and providing excellent opportunities if you perform really well academically.

There aren't any hostel facilities but the location is really great. One can find many PGs and apartments on rent.

The best part about the college is the library. They are the best if you want to dedicate your time for study. It's air conditioned and have all the possible legal journals provided. If you don't find something, you can definitely always ask to get what you want and they are happy to help. You can issue the books for a week so you don't have to buy every single book because it gets very expensive. Thus, library is the great asset of the college. The classes are super clean - modern, air conditioned which suits the Mumbai weather. The washroom is really good as well. You also get to access the lifts. Lastly, the canteen is also decent. Overall, it has really good infrastructure.

Campus Life is really good. There are also a plenty of extracurricular activities in the college like moot courts, cultural events, debates, legal aid, a bunch of camps and committees as well which you can join. I've had many experiences visiting different courts and the Byculla jail which was a very humbling for me. If you are looking for a good law college in Mumbai, definitely consider M.K.E.S. You will be able to focus academically and have a good social life. It’s not a top elite college but if you are willing to put effort, it gives you a pretty strong foundation in law.
