Student’s Perspective about TIB South 24 Parganas

Overall Rating
I took admission here through WBJEE counseling. Faculty is quite good here and no ragging takes place in this Institute. Many factors made me choose this Institute like academics, faculty, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities. I recommend it to students who want a holistic approach for development.
 

Academics Rating
I enrolled in this Institute through WBJEE counseling. I am doing B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. This branch is very much in demand in today’s world. Eligibility criteria include passing class 12th with good marks in PCM and qualifying the WBJEE entrance exam. There are 4 internal tests, some practical assignments, and an end semester exams in each semester. Academics prepare us for real life challenges by giving the practical insights.
My total course is around Rs. 5,00,000. Other fees are also taken like exam fee, backlog paper fee, etc. Some sort of scholarship is also given.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members at TIB South 24 Parganas are quite good. Each subject has a specialized teacher for it. They are highly qualified and experienced. In CSE department there are 60 students per teacher. Teaching method includes the combination of blackboards, PPTs, and group discussions. The doubt solving abilities of the faculty are also good. My experience with the faculty is quite good. Bonding between teachers and students is also very friendly. Mostly, all of them are good.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is also going well as the highest package was 32 LPA and the lowest is around 1 LPA to 2 LPA. There are many placement related activities taken in the Institute like seminars and resume building workshops.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, I am living in the hostel. Boys’ and girls’ hostel is separate. A day and a night guard are stationed for security purposes in the hostel premises. Mess food is average and mess fee per month is Rs. 3,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus’s academic block is well structured. Campus size is satisfactory. Although the locality is not that good but rest is good. Classrooms are nice. Various academic facilities are available such as library labs, seminar hall, conference hall, etc. Canteen was not so much good but it has improved a lot these days. Sports grounds are there for Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, and many more. Transport facility is not that much good. For security, a number of guards are stationed.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life is good at TIB South 24 Parganas. Institute crowd is also nice. There are no clubs. Many events like fests, sports tournaments, etc. are conducted. Festivals are also celebrated here in the campus such as Vishwakarma Puja, Sarswati Puja, Holi, etc. We celebrate teacher’s day as well. Fresher’s party and Farewell party are organized once a year. The Institute gives a good campus experience.

    This is average college for average grade students because every college said that 100% placement before admission after all it has been seen that 70-80% placed but if you really want to learn and to do hands on practical then college teachers are really helpful.
