Admission Process of Narvadeshwar Law College

Narvadeshwar Law College, Chinhat, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is an associated Law College of under University of Lucknow. The college is located in close vicinity area of Gomti Nagar, near Chinhat. All modes of transportation facilities are available to reach to the college. The college has facilities like Library, playground, Moot Court Room, spacious classrooms, canteen, and a decent parking area. The faculty is also good, having experience in their respective subjects. The college is located just 3 KMs away from the high court, so if you are doing internship in High court, it will be easy to travel back and forth. If you do not get admission in the main campus of University, you can opt for this college.

I enrolled myself in LL.B ( 3 years ) course, offered by the college. You can also opt for LL.B integrated course, which is of 5 years, in both the cases you will awarded a Bachelor's degree in Law. You must have around not less than 45% percent marks in your semester in order to gat admission in this course. You can get admission in the college by giving Lucknow University Entrance Test or you can directly approach the college for direct admission. In order to get admission, kindly visit the college campus, usually in the month of May to June & carry documents like your 10th / 12th marksheet & certificate, Adhaar card, graduation marksheet, and at least four passport size photographs; bring both original and photo copies of the above documents. Fill the examination form, attach the required documents, pay the required fees , your admission is done. Coming to exams, the exams are conducted as per the schedule of the university. There are internal papers of 30 marks, which is conducted by the college (usually just before the semesters exam), and the external exam (organised by the university) which is usually of 70 marks. There are total of 6 semesters in LLB 3yrs course and 10 semesters in LL.B integrated (5 years) course. Each semester is of around 4 months.

For my course, I paid around Rs. 14,000 per semester. Hence, total Rs. 84,000 for three years course. At the time of admission, you have to pay Rs. 500 as an admission fee.

The faculty of Law is well versed in their respective subjects, such as Criminal Law, Jurisprudence, International Law, and various other fields. The faculty is kind enough to provide help to the students, whenever needed. All most all teachers are well qualified having qualification such as LLM ,PhD, and UGC Net qualified. Their way of teaching including discussing case laws, explaining logic behind it, & encouraging open discussion in classroom. Both, practical as well as theoretical knowledge is imparted to students by the college. Coming to teacher student ratio, there is on one teacher in a class of 60 students.

If you want to be placed, you can approach the University of Lucknow placement cell by visiting the campus and applying for the pre placement drive. Usually students who are in final year of their course, are eligible to sit in the placement drive

The college does not have any hostel facilities. However, there are many PGs and private hostels nearby college.

Narvadeshwar Law College has decent infrastructure, consisting of spacious classrooms, moot court room, library, administrative block, water coolers, play ground, canteen etc. The classrooms are quite spacious with large benches, which can accommodate strength of 70 or more in each classroom. The classrooms are provided with decent white and blackboard, fans, & decent lightning. There is a small canteen in the college campus offering variety of snacks. There is a decent playground in the college campus, where you can just during winter and enjoy the Sun light.

My overall experience was quite good in this college, the crowd is good, and you will meet types of students, hardworking one, and just chilled one. The college organises various events such as Legal aid camp, moot court competition, debate competition, article-writing competition, and others. Apart from it, the college celebrates various other events, such National Youth Day, Republic Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, etc.
