NIA Jaipur's BAMS Admissions: AACCC Counseling and NEET Exams

NIA Jaipur is one of the top institutes, which offer various courses in Ayurvedic medicine science and Nursing. The Institute and hospital in the same campus making practical knowledge and firsthand experience easily accessible to studying students. The faculty here is very helpful and seniors are wonderful and supportive. The classrooms are very good, labs are well equipped, and overall environment is very study friendly. It also has a library with nearly all the books you will need for your studies.

I am pursuing BAMS from this institute. Being one of India's top institutes, it is slightly hard to get in as selection in BAMS course is only through NEET exams. Counseling for admission is done by AACCC. There are two types of exams/tests conducted, one monthly test of 15 marks and term exams about every six months. Whole course is divided into three professionals of 18 months each. Teachers always teach in a manner so that we can apply gained knowledge in practical life. There are total of 125 seats, out of which 12 seats are reserved for foreign nationals.

Fees are taken for one professional year, i.e., for a duration of 18 months. Total fee at time of admission totals around Rs. 56,000. In addition, it is about Rs. 50,000.

All the professors are great teachers. Weather it is teaching basics and theory in classroom or explaining practical demonstrations in lab, they always make sure that we understand it. Their way of teaching us both Ayurvedic medicine and how it connects to modern medicine so that we can give our future patients utmost care and benefits is simply amazing. Most of Ayurvedic texts are in Sanskrit, so they have to explain it to us, whom they do, so well all my doubts that I had at my time of admission just vanished.

Institute has both boy’s and girl’s hostel inside campus. one of the girl’s hostel is a walking distance away from campus. Generally, boys do not get hostel in first year. Mess is there in hostel with good food. Recreational area is also there where you can play indoor games like table tennis, carom, and chess and there is also an indoor badminton court just besides hostel.

Campus is roughly divides into two parts, one consisting of academic block, Auditorium, and boy’s hostel, while other has Hospital [IPD and OPD] canteen and girl’s hostel. The classrooms are perfect for batch size of 125 students. All lecture theaters are digitally equipped. There is a library with all the needed resources for all the courses offered. Labs of each department are well equipped. Anatomy lab museum has a wide range of specimens to aid in our study. The auditorium is a great addition to the institute. In addition, the temple just inside the entrance gate imparts calm.

Overall, this institute is a great place to be. Nearly all major festivals are celebrated. Cultural clubs are going to be a thing starting from this year. Annual institute event "Tarang" which is divided into sports and cultural week is a great way to explore your talents and find likeminded people to vibe with. Out of 125 seats, 12 seats are reserved for foreign nationals, so you will also find international students in our campus. The institute life has been fun since the start with a little bit of mildly stressful and fun interaction with our seniors.
