What Every Student Should Know About CAS College Kannur?

Overall Rating
I have a good experience in this college. Both study and extracurricular activities are engaging. In our college, the pass percentage is more compared to other colleges. The main difference I find about our college is its location, which is in a naturally gifted area. During rainy season, our college is more beautiful. The main aim of our college is to raise the students in a proper way, and they are able to do that.
 

Academics Rating
The course chosen by me is BBA. The main aim of this program is to build management traits in students. The eligibility to join in the college is by earning marks in plus two. They consider students who get good marks. Admission process is done online. Exams take place once in six months and there are six semesters during the academic course. Mainly BBA deals with many real life applications, hence preparing us for the real world.
There is no fee charged because it is a self-financed college. Scholarships are provided for backward caste students. Others are awarded with e-grants. However, during the admission, small amount of fee is collected from the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members in our department are very well organised and qualified with high knowledge about the subject. Our faculty members have worked hard during their study period. Most of them are great at their own work and are an asset for the college. Mainly our faculties’ teaching methods include ppts and blackboards. They also conduct seminars at regular intervals. The problem-solving ability of our faculties is very high. The teacher student ratio is 1:13. Our bonding with them is very good. They treat us like their children.
 

Placement Rating
Placement rate is average and can be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus gained NAAC A grade last year. Campus size is comparatively small, but it is good and the blocks are very well structured. For students of BBA, they provide personal chairs to mould them as professionals. There is a big library and a big computer lab. An air-conditioned seminar hall, a wide open auditorium and a canteen is also provided. My favourite place is the canteen.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was not good in the first year but during the last years, I like it more because I got many new friends, which make my college life amazing. The college crowd is not that much, around 800 students study in the college. Engagement opportunities organized by the college are very good like NSS, NCC and they also provide other add on courses to the students to mould them. There are many fests celebrated in our college like College Fest, Fine Arts Day, Fresher’s Day, Onam Program etc.
