My Opinion on JSS AHER Mysore: Best Infrastructure & Education

Overall Rating
I got a very good experience studying here. At first like every other students, I didn’t have a proper idea about which university. I was going to do my bachelor's but then few of my family doctors suggested this university. After getting to know the university, I understood that my decision was good because this university is one of the finest universities in Karnataka and maybe in India when coming to studies or extracurricular activities. The teaching faculties, their way of teaching, how friendly they are to us and so many other opportunities are so good here.
 

Academics Rating
The course I chose is Bachelors in Occupational Therapy, I dreamt about this course so I carefully took the decision of studying in JSS AHER Mysore. I took admission through an agency in Kerala. There is direct admission too. You can apply through too. Through agency, it was so simple. For BOT, there are 8 semesters. After each semester, there are exams. And it's not just about theory, but it's about practicals too. And the university’s hospital has everything for us to be good, both in theory and practicals.
The fee of my course is 2.5 Lakh per year. I got admitted through agency so there was donation. The fee includes all the tuition fees but every exam we have to pay exam fee. There are scholarships for Kannada students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are the best. The first semester we had classes held from the JSS AHER Mysore hospital itself. The faculties had good qualification and their method of teaching was very good too. Not just through PPTs, but they have included everything, like seminars, case presentations etc. in their teaching. They maintain their professionalism but are also friendly so we can ask any doubts without being scared and they will answer with best possible answers.
 

Placement Rating
JSS AHER Mysore has decent placements. I passed out this month and I had 2 interviews till now from various organisations.
 

Hostel Rating
The university provides hostels for both girls and boys. The hostel facilities are very good. Mess food also very good but only vegetarian is served.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It’s the most beautiful campus I have ever seen really. It’s lush green with beautiful lawns to sit and chat. Classrooms are nice. We have 2 libraries at the university, one digital and 1 normal. But they also have touch screens at the normal one. At the hospital too, there is a digital library and at our department, we have a library filled with only BOT books. Both hospital and university have a very good canteen.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life was the best, these 5 years it was amazing. It's not just about the studies but extracurricular activities too. We have university fests every year. Sports are there too. I was in Throwball. Then apart from this, so many workshops, seminars, keep happening. We have Ethnic Days and all the cultural programs for 1 week.
