VITW Vijayawada: All The Aspects

Overall Rating
As VITW Vijayawada is a women’s Institute, the warmth and security it provides is top tier for all the girls out there. faculty and management will always have your back for your growth. They provide good hostels and bus facilities. All faculties are friendly with students and that creates a good environment for growth and learning. The curriculum is not that rigorous, so students can learn and grow a lot, at their own pace.
 

Academics Rating
I studied in the stream AIML; I choose this course because of my interest in this stream. Students who want to purse in this Institute can go via management quota or prepare for EMACET and score below 90,000 rank. There will be 8 semesters in the course and each semester will have 2 midterm examinations. Students need to perform good in those examinations for good CGPA scores.
I entered this Institute through EAMCET exam, so I got full fee reimbursement from government. We just need to pay exam fees, lab charges and for our study material. If going through management quota, it costs you around Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- per year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is top notch, very friendly in nature and supportive for our academic growth. The HODs and management will teach you with projectors and help you with CRTs too. It is 5:10 ratio between faculty and students. All HODs have PhD degrees and the faculty members are well qualified too. Overall, my experience with the faculty from my branch is 10/10.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell; it helps us with job opportunities and training for interviews by providing CRT from 3rd year. But, we also have to apply for jobs independently with the help of TPO’s as limited number of companies visit the Institute.
 

Hostel Rating
The Institute offers hostels for both girls and boys. It is separate for both. The food is decent there. Hostel fees starts around Rs. 6000/- per month. Hostel rules are very strict and timings are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Overall, it is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of my Institute, and a canteen in the campus. For sports, there is a PT for helping students participate in state level sports competitions. There is good transportation facility too; they provide private buses and government buses for those who cannot afford the Institute’s buses. My favourite place is my classroom and AI&ML lab.
 

Campus Rating
Overall my campus life is very good. There are clubs and I am part of ICC start-up group. There are more extracurricular activities like fests and events. Some events like Fresher’s Day, Ganesh Nimarjans, DJ fest, etc. are fun to attend. I got great knowledge on personal development and professional life here. I also got some great friends and batch mates along with peaceful and happy 4 years, all thanks to the great environment of VITW Vijayawada.

    The Vijaya Institute of Technology for Women was very good with well educated faculty and very supportive system. This is the only Institute in Vijaywada which is only for women’s.
