My Candid Views on GDC Anantnag

Overall Rating
My overall experience at this College was great. This College has great faculty, great campus and good location. All these factors made me choose this College. This College would be good for anyone who wishes to pursue their higher education in any academic field.
 

Academics Rating
The course I chose was Bachelors of Arts and my core subjects were Political Science and Economics. I choose this course because I was interested in these subjects. For admission in GDC Anantnag College, students need to qualify CUET and they can also take the direct admission in this College. The exams are held twice in a year. The Academics prepare us for real world challenges.
The fee of this College for my course was quite affordable. I had to pay Rs. 7,500/- per year for two semester. This fee includes all the other charges like tuition fee, admission fee, registration fee, etc. The College does not provide any special discount to the students of any category but the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme is available for the needy students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of this College is well trained and highly qualified. For Political Science and Economics my teachers were Farooq Sir, Adil Sir, Zahid sir, and Irshad Sir. They have done Ph.D and also qualified the NET exam. The teaching method includes smart boards, etc. The problem solving abilities of the faculty members are great and they also solve the doubts of the students. The teacher-student ratio is 1:70. We had a great bond with our professors and the teachers are approachable.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our College has a dedicated career counseling cell which offer placements. This College recently signed and MOU with Learnet Skills Pvt. Ltd. They brought various companies to conduct placement rounds. Additionally they also made efforts to prepare students for the job. Justdial company visited College for placements. The average package offered was around 2.5 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College offers a dedicated residential facility for students who wish to stay at the campus. The hostel is located at the backside of the College. The hostel also has a mess which serves hygienic and quality food to the students. The hostel fee is around Rs. 20,000/- per year. The timing of the Hostel is 8:00 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The size of the campus is huge and the campus is located at Khanabal area of Anantnag. The GDC College campus has various building dedicated to different departments. The campus has library with all kinds of books. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and the classroom can accommodate around 100 students. The campus has conference room, auditorium, canteen, etc. The College also has sports facilities, medical facilities, and transport facilities. The colleges has CCTV camera for the students safety. My favorite thing in this College is the library.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life at GDC Anantnag is good and interesting. The College organise picnics and treks. The campus crowd is huge as the strength of this College is around 6000. They have various clubs and I am a part of the Debate club and Seminar club. They conduct a lot of extracurricular activities like sports matches, etc. The College organises various events such as Freshers Party, Teachers day, etc. My campus life in this College has been great.
