Securing my Future at Dhemaji College: Good Infrastructure & Academics

Overall Rating
I chose Dhemaji College for my Undergraduate degree because it is the type of College where students are guided very strictly. The examination process of this College is very honest; no student can even think cheating in the exams. The College has all the necessary facilities.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Physics. For admission in this College the students need to score good marks in their class 12th boards exams. The exams are conducted in six months. After the exams sessional 1st and sessional 2nd exams are also conducted. My academic experience was so good.
During my time the admission fee was Rs. 650/- for Below Poverty Line (BPL) students. Apart from these students, the fee ranged between Rs. 3500/- to Rs. 4500/-. The examination fee was Rs. 1500/- to Rs. 1600/- per semester. The scholarship is also provided to the students. The students can apply for the scholarship through National Scholarship Portal. The amount varies each year depending on category of the students.
 

Faculty Rating
All the teachers of Dhemaji College are highly qualified. All the teachers have qualified NET or SLET. The teaching methods include whiteboard, projector, large android TV, etc. After the end of the week, the teachers solve the doubts of the students and solve previous year papers. Once in a year, our department organise seminar presentation on topics related to the subject. Our department have dedicated WhatsApp group for asking doubt. The teacher to students’ ratio is 3:110. They treat every student equally. The principal sir is so strict of this College.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the Dhemaji College provides placements and internship opportunities to the four year degree program students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our College provide has hostel facilities. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. The hostel has the capacity of 45 students while the girl’s hostel has the capacity of 50 students. The hostel fee at the admission was Rs. 5900/- . The hostellers can take entry by signing the register which is kept by the warden. No hosteller can use mobile phones after 6 PM. My experience in the hostel is quite good and the warden was good too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of this College is huge. There is greenery everywhere. The campus has library, Football ground, Cricket ground, Basketball court, auditorium, etc. The conference hall is well equipped with AC facilities. The canteen is also good. My favorite thing in this College is the library where I can peacefully study. The campus also has digital library.
 

Campus Rating
Campus is good but i wish the College conduct more extracurricular activities and events. The College organise annual fest every year for the students. They also conduct various sports events such as Athletics, Cricket, Football, Basketball, etc.
