College Life at Government Medical College Pali

Overall Rating
My experience at Government Medical College Pali has been amazing. This College was established in 2018. This College is newly established and yet it is one of the top medical Colleges in Rajasthan. I choose this College over the other options I had due to its location.
 

Academics Rating
MBBS is a basic and mandatory course for becoming a doctor. Admission in this College is depended on your NEET UG exam score which conducted by NTA. After the exam, you can take admission on counselling basis. This is all for the admission process in this College. My course is a 5.5 year course (4.5 year classes and one year compulsory rotating medical internship). This course is designed by National Medical Council and the exams are held in a semester-wise manner.
The fee of my course is approximately Rs. 60,800/- per year. This is the tuition fees decided by the Government. Students are also supposed to pay Rs. 19,530/- as one time admission fee. You can get scholarship by the Government and there are special discounts for backward classes and SC / ST or PwD candidates.
 

Faculty Rating
All the teachers are very helpful for all students. They are highly qualified and well experienced teachers cum doctors. Each of the faculty members is super talented in their subjects. The method of teaching is online and offline both. Teachers use digital board, PPTs and animations for in-depth understanding. Each subject has 3 to 4 trained faculties with assistants with the classroom seating capacity being around 150 students per year. All the students have good bonding and attachment with their teachers.
 

Placement Rating
Direct placement cell is not present in College. Students, who pass in final exams, get placements in private hospitals on an average package of 10 LPA. You must have degree of MD/MS. After MBBS, students can get a job in private and government hospitals.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College has residential facilities. There are separate hostel for boys and girls having single and double seater room with more than 50 rooms in each hostel.
The quality of mess food is good and we are provided with a variety of food along with healthy fruits. Hostel fee is around Rs. 26,800/- per year (mess charges not included). My experience is good at the campus hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College building and hostel infrastructure is nice. The College covers a land area of around 32 acres. The College provides good in campus facilities. There are AC classrooms and spacious laboratories for practicals. There is also a well designed library in campus with numerous books, magazines, journals and daily newspapers. There is a seminar hall and an auditorium in College. Sports and medical facilities available too at the College. The College also provides access to transport facilities to reach the College. The only drawback is that during monsoon season, we at times have to face electricity issues.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus Life at Government Medical College Pali is enjoyable and good. There are 150 seats per year for students. Sports and various cultural activities are organised by College often. There is an annual fest organised at College too which is filled with various cultural activities. We celebrate all the festivals like Navratri, Ramasamy, Holi, Diwali, Janmashtmi, Republic Day, Independence Day and also there is held a New Year party on the 31st of December each year. These events are organised by the College students with help of the management team.

    Government Medical College, Pali is situated in the Pali district of Rajasthan which is around 70km from Jodhpur city. Overall experience at this institute is great and I totally advice you to take this college if you clear the cut off rankings.
