Overall Rating
Personally I really had a wonderful experience in this College. The Campus experience is one of a kind you may never experience it elsewhere. I chose this College because of its reputation. It is one of the oldest Colleges established in India with a legacy of over 200 years and it is also close to my house. There are some things that you will not find in any other Colleges. Apart from the academics, the College also focuses on extracurricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Bachelor of Science (Hons.). I didn't really have a preference on what course I want to do. For admission, the students need to apply through the College website and wait for the allotment. Once you are eligible for admission, you can submit the required documents and pay the course fee. The main exams are conducted semester wise which also include internal exams. The lab exams will also be conducted every semester depending on the curriculum.
The fee of CMS College, Kottayam at the time of admission was around Rs. 10,000/-. The total fee for my course is Rs. 22,000/- which include the examination fee, etc. The discount is provided to the students who belong to SC/ST and OBC categories. The fee is different for different courses.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are highly experienced and well educated. They teach the complex topics into an easier manner. The teaching method include blackboards, GD, PPTs, etc. The teachers of this College are very friendly and approachable. The teachers treat all the students as their own child.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, CMS College, Kottayam has an active placement cell. It updates students about the various placement opportunities.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College provides hostel facilities to the students. I am a day scholar so I don’t have any personal experience about it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread over 30 acres. There are across 17 departments, some of them are well maintained. The campus has a great library, labs, halls for the events, etc. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors. The campus also has a well maintained canteen, gym, Basketball court, Badminton court, etc. Overall, the campus is beautiful, well maintained, and peaceful.
 

Campus Rating
The overall life at this College was an amazing experience that I can’t forget. The crowd is very active in every aspect. There are a lot of clubs and activities which are organised by the College. It is mandatory to participate in those activities as per the new curriculum. Various fests are organised by the students union, management, and departments. It also celebrates various festivals. I had the best campus life in this College.
