Balanced Experience: VES College of Arts Science and Commerce Mumbai

Overall Rating
My experience in VES College of Arts Science and Commerce Mumbai was nice. The infrastructure is very nice. The syllabus also keeps getting updated regularly. It is indeed a reputed College. However, I would still suggest making the syllabus of my course a bit more advanced. Also, it would be great if they take us on industrial visits which would add to the practical knowledge of the students.
 

Academics Rating
My motive for choosing this course was my interest in the field of Media and its potential. I loved Journalism and Advertising and this course gave me a chance to explore both in detail. The criterion to enter this course in the College was very simple and was based on merit. The admission process was smooth and followed a standard procedure. We had 2 semesters every year with many practical projects every now and then. The real-life projects made us ready for the practical world beyond academics.
The fee for the first year was around Rs. 18,000/-. For second year it somewhere around Rs. 20,000/- and it is the same for the third year too.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty was also supportive but there is a room for improvements. Few of them were very advanced and taught us in detail, while others followed a lenient approach. The method of teaching was through books and PPTs. However, the projectors lagged sometimes, which have been fixed now. They were approachable to me.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell in our department is strong having great industry connections. They encouraged us to apply for various internships and kept sharing the opportunities available.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, but I do not know about them in detail.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the College was nice. However, the classes of our department were somewhat between average to good. Now, the classes have been renovated and they are very amazing now. Campus size is very big, and the locality is superb and easily accessible. The library is well-stocked with books and has a peaceful environment for studying. The College also provides good sports facilities and common area for students to relax. Canteen food is decent with affordable prices.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at College is vibrant and engaging. VES College of Arts Science and Commerce Mumbai conducts various cultural festivals, workshops, seminars that gives exposure to us beyond academics. There are many active student clubs and committees which has provided opportunities to explore interest in different fields. The environment is friendly and makes it easy to connect with peers. Faculty members are supportive. Overall campus life offers a well-balanced environment for learning and enjoyment.
