MCNUJC Bhopal Offers Admission in PG Program Through CUET PG Exam

I chose MCNUJC Bhopal for my post graduation because it offers a wide range of courses related to Journalism and Mass Communication. In my course, I learnt so many things related to Digital Journalism such field reporting, videography, photography, multimedia, etc. This course also helps me to understand the basics of digital reporting. If you also want to master in this particular field of media than this University is a good choice. Apart from course, you can also learn so many things related to media and communication in this University.

For admission, the students need to qualify CUET PG exam. And, if we talk about the eligibility criteria than it's totally depends on number of seats available. For enrolling in Masters, one should have Bachelor degree with a minimum of 5 CGPA and above. For admission in the PG courses, the students have to qualify CUET PG exam. The admission process of the University is really simple; you can apply for the admission online. You need to submit all the necessary documents and pay the fee. In my course, there are 4 semesters; each semester conducts 2 mid-term exams and one final exam. The students need to give at least 2 mid-term exams. I personally suggest that one should give all the exams because it helps you to prepare well for semester exams. Apart from exams, you will also get a chance to visit top media industries, where you can see how newspapers are printed, the way of presenting news on TV, and how RJ conduct the podcasts.

The fee of my course was Rs. 50,000/-. You need to pay the fee semester wise. For 1st semester the fee is around Rs. 15,000/- it includes your tuition and the registration fee. The next 3 installment is around Rs. 11,660/- which you need to submit before the starting of the new semester. The University provides discounts to the students who belong to SC/ST and OBC category. If you score well in the exams then you can also avail the scholarship. This will help you to cover your course fee.

The faculty members of my course are great. Apart from teaching, they also give the basic life lessons because they are very old and experienced in the field of journalism. Most of my faculties are doing the work as a journalist along with teaching. I learnt several things from the faculty members. The faculty not only focuses on completing the syllabus but also teach in an understandable manner. For example, they give us some tasks like make videos, news package, podcast, ads, etc. By doings these tasks I personally learnt a lot about recording and editing. Along with this, they also make us learn about the newspaper style and how the paper is designed from front page to last page. There is different faculty for each subject. So, it helps to me solve all the doubts related to the subject. I personally had a great bond with few of my faculties. The teachers always motivated me to do different things such as anchoring, etc. because they believe that everyone is capable of everything.

Yes, MCNUJC Bhopal has placement cell. It always informs the students about the media industries which are visiting the campus and also the documents required when applying. The cell conducts seminar every month which prepares the students well for the placements. There are many top media industries visited the campus like Dainik Bhaskar, Zee News, Vistaar News, etc. The University provides best placement opportunities to the students.

Yes, the University offers residential facilities to both male and female students. The mess provides 3 meals a day such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is good with proper hygiene. Other facilities that hostel provides such as table, chair, single bed with mattress, almirah, etc. There are 3 floors, each floor has separate washroom. The hostel gates remains open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. I personally suggest choosing the hostel because this hostel is not like other Government Institutions.

The campus of this University is huge; it has 2 academic blocks, open auditorium, one close auditorium, and etc. The campus has separate admin building. There are different floors for different courses. The classroom has the seating capacity which is around 40 to 50 students. The campus has library which is equipped with newspaper, magazine, books, etc. Apart from this, the campus has one canteen where one can get proper meal. My favorite place in the campus is the radio station named Karmaveer where I recorded my first podcast.

My overall campus life experience in MCNUJC Bhopal was good. As I was a student of private College and moving to Government University, I experienced a total different environment. This University changed my whole mind set about Government Universities. The campus crowd is decent. The NCC unit is available in the University. It organises an event every year named ‘Partibha’. In this University, you get a chance to take a part in different competitions such as dance, debate, sports, etc.
