What Every Student Should Know About CIET Coimbatore

Overall Rating
CIET Coimbatore is located at the outer space of Coimbatore. My experience in this Institute is average. The environment of this Institute is good for studies. The faculty is highly educated and very supportive. Only one thing I like about this Institute is that its fee is less as compared to other Institutes. This Institute was established in 2001.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering. I appear in the cancelling process for the admission. I don’t know if the Institute provides direct admission or not. It conducts tests on weekly basis which help us to score good marks in the final exams. Two internal exams are conducted in a semester. In the exams, the questions are mostly scenario based which makes you prepare for real life challenges.
The fee of my course is Rs. 87,000/- per annum which include the hostel fee as well. If you are first graduate then your fee will be reduced. The Institute also offers scholarship to the students but I don’t have much information about it.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of this Institute are highly educated. The teachers are very supportive. The communication skills of the English teachers are very good. The faculty is really good of my department. The faculty is really strict as well it is only for the betterment of the students only. They will push you towards the success and support in the academics as well. They encourage students to enhance their skills and not only focus on getting good CGPA.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the Institute has placement cell. The placements depend on the hard work of the students. Around 60 to 70% of students get placed every year. It depends on the skills of the students. Various companies visit our campus for recruitment such as Google, Microsoft, TATA, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, CIET Coimbatore offers separate hostel facilities to both male and female students. The hostels are of 2 floors, each floor has at least 25 to 30 rooms. Some of the teachers also live in the hostel. The mess offers hygienic food to the students. My hostel fee is Rs. 75,000/- per year. The hostel rules are strict for girls. The outing is allowed only from the 3rd semester. If there are more than 4 or 5 days of holiday then the students are not allowed to stay in the hostel. The camera is also there at the entrance. The hostels are actually very good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is surrounded by lush greenery. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. It has labs, library, playground, etc. The Institute offers various sports facilities as well. Each department has at least two sections and the classroom have the seating capacity of around 60 students. The ATM is also there for the students and the staff. Various other facilities are available such as stationary, food court, etc. A small auditorium is also present in the campus where events are organised.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is good. The campus crowd is not that huge. There are a lot of clubs in this Institute. To be honest, the Institute does not conduct that much of fests but they conducts events and extracurricular activities for the students.
