Vimala College Autonomous, Thrissur (Women’s College) is a good option for Bachelor’s degree. It was established in 1967. They have a clean and neat infrastructure and campus. All faculties are well qualified. Most of them have a Ph.D. Campus supports arts and sports of students well. They have an open stadium for sports students and an open gym also. Science subject departments are a little strict about classes and attendance. Overall, I rate 4 out of 5.

I did Bachelors in Mathematics from the year 2021 to 2024. For admission, the cut off percentage is about 90 or above. In addition, there are some reservation seats. They also need percentage above 80. I chose this College because this is good Mathematics. Once in a year, they conduct an inter-collegiate Mathematics fest and an exhibition. Since the department gives more importance to studies, they sometimes do not support skipping classes for arts practice and all. In addition, this college is a little bit strict.

My course was Bachelor’s in Mathematics. The fee structure is like Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 6000/- per semester. There are some extra small charges for exams, for using computers and labs.

Faculties are well qualified. Most of the facilities have a Ph.D in their subjects. They support and help so much in studies. They help us to conduct Maths fests, Maths exhibitions and for attending and presenting project papers in conferences. They use both black boards and PPTs together for taking class. They give notes, group works, and also conduct discussions. The teachers are efficient. We have 3 batches in a year. Each batch has near 45 students. For all these students, we have near 7-8 faculties. Teachers are easily approachable if you need any help in studies.

Yes, there are placements in Vimala College Autonomous, Thrissur. There is a placement cell. In addition, there is a faculty for handling the placement cell. In our batch, students got placements from Accenture, TCS, Arvind fashions, ICICI insurance company like that. They offers a package of near 3.5 LPA.

College offers hostel facility for students. It is opposite to college, so less distance for walking. Hostel is clean and food is an average. Hostel is safe with security. Hostel has some rules and timings. If you have, a valid reason to go outside they will allow. Hostel students have separate Onam celebration, Christmas celebration, and hostel day.

Vimala College campus has 4 academic blocks. They are Main, Caviar, Lemieux, and Euphrasy. They have a large auditorium for conducting programs, an open gym, leisure tower for just sitting in leisure times, indoor stadium, & ground, store that contains stationary things, and a canteen with a good menu. Classrooms are neat and also have Audio vision aids. There is a large library and the top level has a garden library, which provides a good atmosphere for reading. Every class will get daily newspapers. Labs are good and some equipments in physics lab was old and not that much accurate in my time. There are many seminar halls there. There is a security for our campus. If you are a day scholar, the public transport buses have a bus stop in front of our college.

Overall campus life there is cool there. Whole college has near 3000 students. They provide many clubs like Music Club, Dance Club, Palliative club, Library club, and many more like that. All these clubs are active. I was in Music club and Palliative club. Music club members will get many opportunities for singing in programmes and pain and palliative club members get field visit and can attend different programs outside related to this. Students who like doing services can join. Every department in the college will conduct an intercollegiate fest at least once in a year, which will be held near 3 to 4 days. Vimala College always gets the best Women's college trophy in arts and sports. My overall experience is good. I will rate 4 out of 5 for the college.
