Engineering Courses at HiCET Coimbatore are AICTE Approved

Overall experience at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore is very good. There is a Hi-racing lab in my College. It is located in Coimbatore, Pollachi Bypass, Malumichampatti. Apart from this, there are three more Colleges in this campus for Technology, Polytechnic and Architecture. College atmosphere and location is very good.

I chose Mechanical Engineering because this course is AICTE approved and I was interested in inventing machines for Agricultural purposes. Students from12th board CBSE and State board are eligible for admission in my College. There is no separate written test for the admission. There are two internal assessment exams held with interval of two months. In the end of the semester, there is a practical exam for practical subjects. The semester exam are slightly difficult but don't worry the College is autonomous. Many practical events are held to to make understand the real World problems. You must study throughout year to pass the exams.

I have paid tuition fees of Rs. 42,500/- for my selected course.

The faculties are well educated, qualified and experienced. They have studied in major Institutions such as Anna University, IIT, etc. They teach us using blackboards, smart TV, projector, group discussion, etc. The problem solving abilities of the faculties are very good. There is one teacher for 55 students. Student and teachers bonding is very good. The teachers mingle with students like friends.

Yes, there is an active Placement Cell at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

HiCET Coimbatore does have separate hostels for boys and girls, though I don’t know more about it.

There are eight blocks in this College. The campus size is about 200 acres approximately. The College is located in Malumichampatti. The classrooms are very big with seating capacity of 70. All classrooms are fitted with AV projector and smart TV. In the College, there is an indoor and outdoor auditorium. Library is very big, having collection of around 28,000 books. Canteen is open 24/7. Medical facilities available in the College are very good.

The campus of Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore is very good. Every year, the College is crowded during the admission time. There are many active clubs in my College such as BIS, SAE, and blood donation. Many marathons are arranged by the College management. Every year, from July till September, all department symposiums are celebrated one by one. Major Tamil Nadu festivals are celebrated grandly. ‘Hilaricas’ is a major function celebrated in my College in February.
