GIN Visakhapatnam is affiliated to GITAM University, Visakhapatnam which is a Deemed to be a University. The Nursing Institute is a separate building near to this University. Teachers are very friendly & cooperative and have good knowledge. The Principal is a very kind hearted man who is very friendly to us. I chose this Institution because of the main reason that is the freedom, campus life, and fests it provides. Here, we celebrate every festival of India and this is an eco-friendly place which is full of greenery and has many parks.

In this Institute, both undergraduate and post graduate degrees are available. I chose B.Sc Nursing which is a 4 year course. The main motive for choosing this stream is because of its growing scope abroad. Eligibility of the program is, the candidate can be either male or female and they must have scored at least 50% marks in Intermediate exams and also must have 50% in Science and English. For admission, you must contact the administration department where the contact details are provided on their website and my degree is only available in the Visakhapatnam campus. There are total 7 semester exams. They will change us into real warriors and mould us to face every difficult situation with ease.

For our course, the fee is Rs. 51,500/- per semester. Candidates can pay the fee annually. Currently, the 1st year fees is Rs. 1,20,700/-.

In our Institute, every department is having a HoD, Association Professor, Assistant Professor, and several other tutors with well qualified degrees and good professional knowledge. All the faculty members are passed out from famous Institutions of India and abroad with good practical and teaching skills. They are professional but they are also friendly and approachable. The most common method of teaching is PPTs, group discussion and using black boards. The professors have good problem solving skills. For 10 students, 1 teacher is present.

We are having good placements to several multi-speciality hospitals in India. Last year, students were placed to various renowned hospitals.

Our Institute provides separate residential facilities for both girls and boys in the same compound with good facilities, free Wi-Fi, good security and more freedom for dressing. Separate facility for gym, and play room is also available. Good and hygienic mess food including non vegetarian meals is also arranged for students. The hostel fee is Rs. 40,000/- per semester, which can be paid annually or monthly. Overall, the hostel is good.

We have classrooms with a seating capacity of 200 individuals with labs for all subjects, 2 seminar halls, auditorium, and so on. The Institution also has a canteen and café nearby, lots of sprts activities. The building is of 5 floors with different staff rooms for teachers of different departments. Classrooms are also well equipped with smart boards and projectors. It is a 650+ bedded hospital with NAAC A+ certificate and NABH accredited which gives the students exposure to diverse disease conditions and modern facilities.

My overall campus life is really good when compared to other Nursing Institutions because it gives less stress. There are Sports Clubs along with Kalakriti, which is a cultural club. There will be various cultural activities which is useful for our skill development. Every month, there will be a fest or more than 2 events. I will miss this Institute after passing out. There is a special Anti-Ragging committee. It is a strictly disciplined committee with quick action and Student Life committee is also available here whom we can approach in case of any complaints or suggestions. Honeslty, I would recommend GIN Visakhapatnam.
