Student Life at Sheth NKTT College of Commerce and Sheth JTT College of Arts Thane

Overall Rating
I joined the Sheth NKTT College of Commerce and Sheth JTT College of Arts Thane this year and enrolled into the B.Sc in AI & ML program which has started this year. This College is autonomous and is probably one of the best Colleges in Thane. I have really enjoyed my first semester so far. The College was established in 1990.
 

Academics Rating
Engineering in AI was something which I wanted to pursue but the course I have opted for here offers the same subjects and that too at nearly 1/5th fees of what Engineering Colleges charges. Admissions are based on entrance exam score and for General category students like me, top students are only selected as only 60 seats are available for our branch. First semester exams were tough or above moderate level and scoring well was not that easy for me.
Our annual fee is around Rs. 67,000/- but since Maharashtra girls get scholarships under government scheme, so my fees is much lower. Moreover, the entire Tuition fee for the SC/ST students is waived off.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members are well-educated and well-experienced. Tech landscape is dynamic and so are our faculties as their knowledge leads to a new excitement during the lectures. Some of the faculties even teach multiple subjects.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are really good at our College.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Sheth NKTT College of Commerce and Sheth JTT College of Arts has been recently re-developed except the College main gate. The management building of the campus is probably the best as our classes are still held in the old building. All the Classrooms are equipped with Smartboards and even ACs work all round the year. We also have a Canteen and Refreshment Rooms.
 

Campus Rating
Our campus offers a competitive environment and our ‘NKT Tech Fest’ was more of a competition which provided students a perfect platform to showcase their skills. That was the only fest that I have seen so far. Since I’m still in first year, I couldn't get the opportunity to perform this year but from next year onwards, I will be eligible for the same. Camaraderie among the students and faculties is been the best thing which I have witnessed in my campus life so far.
