Sri Padmavati University Tirupati M.Pharm Admission is Via Scores of AP PGECET Exam

In Tirupati, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Tirupati is one of the most famous and popular Universities. Especially, because it is for women. The environment here is peaceful and there is greenery all around. We have opportunities to go for Campus. Students also get to get their projects sponsored. I found out that in this University, there are so many Government schemes that students can benefit from such as the PM-USHA where students can submit their projects and get sponsored if their model is selected.

I had chosen the M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Analysis course. I was interested in Research & Development so I had chosen this specialisation. We need to write the AP-PGECET exam and after the results, we need to apply for counseling. If our rank is good, we can get admission in this University. After counseling, we need to submit the original documents. One who has completed their B.Pharm from recognised University and qualified in the AP-PGECET is eligible to study here. Exams are conducted twice a semester alongwith Lab exams, internals & externals. We are also asked to present in Seminars and get marks for it added to our final semester. The Seminars have helped me a lot. Overall, the Academics are good.

The annual fees for my course was Rs. 1,10,000/-. We also had to pay Rs. 7,500/- as Admission fee. Fee reimbursement is available for the students who have a White Ration Card. Such students just need to pay the Admission fee. But students whose parents had Government jobs did not get any fee reimbursement. Moreover, we had to pay Exam fee as well.

The faculty members at SPMVV Tirupati were all women and held a Ph.D in their respective fields. All were highly knowledgeable. They taught us the concepts and we had to prepare the notes ourselves. They conducted Seminars for students. Teachers used both Blackboards and PPTs when necessary. Group Discussions were also conducted during the Seminars. They tried to solve all the doubts of students and were approachable. They were also assigned mentorship of a batch of students. We were able to share all our problems with them.

Yes, the University offers career assistance to the students. However, I wish in future the management brings some improvements.

There were total 10 blocks of hostel and some blocks were under construction. The accommodation capacity was good. Each room accommodated 6 members. There was facility of hot water and cool RO drinking water. Wi-Fi was also available. There was an Indoor Stadium and Playground for the students. Gymnasium was also available for Rs. 250/- per month. Yoga Trainers were also available. Mess food tasted average but was healthy. Milk was provided in the morning from 7 AM to 8 AM. Breakfast was provided from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM and Lunch from 12 PM to 2 PM. Evening tea was also provided alongwith snacks. Every Tuesday and Friday, bananas were provided. Dinner timing was from 7 PM to 8 PM. To go home, we had to get permission from our assigned mentors. The monthly hostel fee was around Rs. 1000/- and Mess fee was calculated on the basis of days and was roughly around Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 3500/-. Moreover, an Admission fee of Rs. 3500/- was also charged to avail the hostel facility. My experience was average at the hostel.

The infrastructure of the Sri Padmavati University Tirupati is very large with 129.85 acres of land with greenery. There are Auditoriums, Conference Halls, and Digital Classrooms available. There is also a Medical Centre, Canteen, Sports Area, Indoor Stadium, etc. Security is also provided for the students. Labs can be improved.

Campus life was good. A lot of fests and events were organised. Festivals were also celebrated in every department. I liked my campus life but they could improve in Education, Labs, and Hostel. The crowd is decent.
