A Journey to Success in Valia College of Commerce and Arts Mumbai

Overall Rating
My overall experience was great. I was pursuing B.Com and made some amazing friends through the whole semester. I had a great experience with supportive teachers who always had my back. The teachers are the factor I would suggest everyone to choose this College. The crowd is decent and great. I had experienced a supportive learning environment, helpful faculty. The College also focuses on extra cubicula activities.
 

Academics Rating
The College provides a wide range of courses like BBA, BAF, M.Com, etc. My course was of 3 years & it was divided into six semesters. To get admission, students must successfully pass 12th board exams. In this College, Commerce students are usually preferred but Arts students can also enroll. The admission process starts with online pre registration and we can visit offline and enroll by offline filling the form.
My yearly fees was Rs. 16,000/-. For 3 years, it would be Rs. 48,000/-. We do not have to pay any extra registration or tuition fee.
 

Faculty Rating
At the Valia College of Commerce and Arts Mumbai, the teachers us blackboard to teach us. Group discussions were also carried out. Their problem solving ability was great. Only few teachers were not able to solve the problems but most of them were capable enough of solving the doubts twice or thrice. The facility members that are teaching us are highly qualified and supportive. They come from strong academic background like CA, MBA, etc.
 

Placement Rating
The percentage of students get placed last year was quite good. According to me, 60 to 70% of students got placement last year. The average package was 5 LPA and the lowest package was 2 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The College does not provide hostel facilities as it is in main Mumbai city. Many students travel daily from trains, bus, and autos. If someone is from other city or state, he / she can easily get a PG near to the campus. For students outside the Mumbai, PGs are separate boys and girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We do have medical facilities available at our premises. It is just first aid kit and normal fever cold medicines. The locality is safe and student friendly. The classrooms are spacious and clean comfortable for regular lectures. The seminar rooms and auditoriums are used in functions celebrating and farewells. These spaces are well maintained and spacious enough to have so many students together at a same time without suffocating.
 

Campus Rating
The overall experience at Valia College of Commerce and Arts, Mumbai is good. The College maintains balance between extracurricular activities and academics. From Diwali to Christmas, Holi, Makar Sankranti, all the festivals are celebrated in our College. The environment is disciplined but not too strict. The College crowd is decent. There are several activities such as NSS, a National Service Scheme and DLLE, a Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension.
