Overall Rating
As per academics, College is somewhat strict but it has good reputation in the State. 75 and 80 % attendance is must in both theory & practical respectively and management considers it strictly during University exams. Field visits are held in 1st year and 3rd year to assist us improve our hands-on skills. Campus life is good but we have to manage both academics and extracurricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
My course is MBBS with the duration on 5 and a half years. Admissions are based on NEET UG exam scores and it is mandatory to qualify this exam. As for the frequency of exam, there are 3 internal assessment tests and 1 University exam per semester. Academics are good and there is practical based learning.
At the NRI Medical College Guntur, for A category, the fee is Rs. 19,500/- & hostel fee is Rs. 60,000/- For B category, The course fee is Rs. 15,00,000/- Also, For C category, the academic charges are Rs. 24,00,000/- per year. I joined via A category. Scholarships are available as per State based schemes.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty is good. However, students have to pay attention to the lecture. Methods of teaching used by professions are mostly PPT and black board (if required). For every department, there are 6 to 8 faculty members are present per 200 students. Most of the faculty members are student friendly. Parents’ teacher meetings are conducted after every internal assessment exams. Special attention is given to the students who got low marks.
 

Placement Rating
Internships are offered to us in the hospital of the NRI Medical College Guntur.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are residential facilities in our College. Both single and double sharing rooms are available in the hostels. Girls’ and boys’ hostels are separate & in total, there are 4 hostel blocks. Mess food is good most of the times. Hostel fee is Rs. 45,000/- plus Rs. 15,000/- caution deposit for 2 sharing rooms. The fee elevates to Rs. 75,000/- plus Rs. 15,000/- caution deposit for single sharing rooms. The hostel gates are opened until 10 PM. Hostel was overall ok.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College has academic block and super specialty hospital building. Campus size is 45+ acres There are AC classrooms with projector, speakers, etc. Libraries, seminar halls, labs, and demo rooms are present for every department. Auditorium is present in ground floor. Cafe is present in 1st floor of academic block. Playground and courts are there for Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, and Kabbadi. Medical facilities and transport facilities are good and easily accessible to all. 5. My favorite thing as a part of infrastructure was classroom as it is spacious and good.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life was good. The crowd is moderate. There are singing, art, photography clubs. I am part of it. Medical camps and field visits are conducted from time to time. Events like sports fest, new year, Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Christmas, College annual day celebration, etc. are conducted.
