RCAS Coimbatore offers Around 34 UG Programs

Choosing a College is a massive decision, but looking back at my time at Rathinam College of Arts and Science (RCAS) pursuing Information Technology and Science, it is easily one of the best choices I have ever made. What truly sets this institution apart is its unique R-SMART learning ecosystem, which completely moves away from traditional rote memorization and focuses entirely on a practical, "learning by doing" approach. As a student, I was able to learn so many things by directly getting my hands dirty with real-world applications, working in advanced smart labs, and building actual projects rather than just studying theory. Thanks to the continuous support, technical training, and mock preparations, I successfully was placed at Cognizant with a really good salary package, proving that Rathinam does not just teach you from a textbook—it genuinely transforms you into an industry-ready professional.

The College offers nearly 34 UG courses. I chose a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and I chose it because I am interested in technical staffs. The entry requirement is just common as all just to get 50% to 60% of marks in 12th standard and admission process of the College is so easy. The frequency of exam is same as like all the other Colleges. We would have semester with have two internal exams and weekly assessments.

The fees for the course when I joined was Rs. 80,000/- per year so for some I used to pay Rs. 40,000/- per semester. The total fees I paid for 3 years is Rs. 2,40,000/-. The special discounts will be provided to specific category students.

The faculty members teaching are will trained and friendly to the students. The problem solving ability of the faculties is also so good. They are so good at technical and other stuff. My experience with faculties is good.

So coming to placements, so recently, a student got 3 Crore per annum salary package. Average salary package is 5 LPA. They have a specific cell named Placement Cell & specific placement teaching staff will be there. They will trainers in a good and an amazing way to acquire jobs in industry. Therefore, it will be more helpful to the students to crack the interviews. Most renowned companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others are invited to the drives.

Yeah, the College has separate hostels for girls and boys. Student is provided with proper room facilities and many sports activities. The food quality is average. About Rs. 80,000/- is hostel fees. All the students should be inside the hostel by 7:00 PM. my personal experience is so good. Hostel environment is so good.

The campus is surrounded with a good environment. Each block is separated by a ring. Open stadiums, auditoriums, sports, classrooms, canteen, clinic, and other facilities are available as well. College ground is average

Campus life at RCAS Coimbatore is so good. There are so many clubs like media club, dance club, and others. I am there in media club. They conduct dance party singing competitions, and many events still in each month. Grand festival will be organised ones in a year.
