CIMAGE Professional College Patna Offers Vijayam Scholarship to Meritorious Students

My overall experience at CPC Patna has been quite good and satisfying. During my time at the College, I found teachers to be well-educated & knowledgeable. They are approachable whenever students have doubts or face difficulties in understanding a topic. I feel that the combination of academic education and additional learning opportunities make it different from many other Colleges. Students are exposed to several additional areas apart from their regular course, such as cloud computing, cyber-security, artificial intelligence, robotics, web development, and other tech related subjects. For me, web development has been one of the most useful learning experiences. Another thing I appreciate is that students get opportunities to explore different technical fields according to their interest. This can be particularly helpful for students who want to build skills alongside their regular degree.

I chose BCA program because I have always been interested in computers, programming, and technology. My main motive for joining this course was to understand how computer applications, networks, software & different technologies work and build a career in IT field. The basic eligibility admission in this program is passing Class 12th. The admission process includes visiting the campus and appearing for the College’s own entrance exam. My academic experience has been quite good. Along with regular subjects, I learned programming languages, coding concepts, computer fundamentals, networking, and other technical topics. For example, I got a better understanding of how Wi-Fi and networks work and what kind of logics is involved behind the application we use every day and many more things. Overall, I feel that the academics here have given me both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. It has also helped me understand how the concepts we study are actually used in real-life technology and has given me a better foundation for working in IT field.

My total fee is around Rs. 2,50,000/-, which also included admission charges. The one-time option is comparatively cheaper as total fee for students who pay the yearly fees was around Rs. 2,90,000/- The fee structure can vary according to the year and student category. For example, in 2025, the eligible female students received a concession under the Ladli Beti Yojana. At that time, the one-time BCA fee under AKU Patna was around Rs. 1,89,000/- for girls and Rs. 2,19,000/- for boys. I personally did not receive any scholarship or fee discount. Overall, I found the fee structure quite reasonable considering the technical training and additional facilities provided by the College, although students should compare the total cost based on their preferred payment mode.

The faculty members of the College are one of the aspects I appreciate the most. In the BCA department, teachers generally have strong academics backgrounds, including qualifications such as MCA, M.Tech., M.Sc., and Ph.D. Their subject knowledge is good, and they are able to explain technical topics in a simple and understandable manner. The teaching method is not limited to traditional classroom teaching. Faculty members uses PPTs, slides, group discussions, notes, study materials, practical examples, and interactive sessions (depending on the topic). This variety makes the classes more engaging and helps students understand difficult concepts more easily. Another positive point is their problem-solving approach. If students face difficulty, teachers usually try to aid where the student is getting stuck instead of simply giving the answer.

The CIMAGE Professional College Patna has its own Placement Cell which helps students prepare for opportunities in the industry. The placement activities are managed with the support of HR team, including Megha Agarwal Ma'am, who is approachable and helps students with the placement process. The College provides additional placement preparation apart from regular classes. After 4th semester, separate classes are conducted for students where they are trained in aptitude, interview-handling, communication, problem-solving, and other skills required during recruitment. Students are also guided on preparing resumes, selecting the right skills to mention, and presenting themselves better during interviews. During my time, the companies such as TCS, ICICI Bank, and others participated in the recruitment process. Deloitte also communicated with the College, and some of its aptitude and interview-related rounds were conducted virtually. My personal placement experience has been positive. I was selected by TCS and received my offer letter during my 5th semester, before completing my BCA degree. I am currently waiting for my joining letter.

During my academic journey, College not have an operational hostel facility for students, so I cannot personally comment on hostel rooms, mess good, hostel fees, timings, or residential facilities. However, during my final year, the College announced that a hostel facility was planned and would be introduced in the future.

The College is located in the Patliputra Industrial Area of Patna. The locality has many industries and manufacturing units nearby. At present, it has two operational buildings, while another building is under construction near Bypass Road, Patna, which is expected to become functional in coming years. The classrooms are well maintained and equipped with air conditioning, projectors, smart boards, and good quality benches. For BCA students, there are two large IT labs with numerous computers in each lab. The library is another good facility. It has a wide collection of books, and students can usually find the study material they need. The auditorium is spacious and suitable for seminars and other College events. The campus also has a canteen where fresh food is prepared and served to students. I personally enjoyed spending time there with friends during breaks. Sports facilities are also available, including space for Cricket, Tennis, and others. The campus has CCTV coverage across classrooms, halls, and common campus areas, which provides a good level of security. My favourite part of infrastructure is the canteen because it was a place where I could relax and spend some time with friends. These facilities complement classroom teaching by giving students opportunities to practice and explore technical concepts themselves.

My overall campus life has been quite active and interactive. At the same time, the environment is academically focused, so I would describe the campus culture as a good mix of studies and other activities. The College has students coming from different districts of Bihar, and there are also students from outside Bihar, including Nepal. Because of this, the campus crow is quite diverse and students get opportunities to interact with people from different backgrounds. It also organises various events and celebrations throughout the year. Fresher’s parties, Cultural Events, Holi Mela and other activities are some of the events that students look forward to. Festivals such as Holi, Eid, Christmas, Dusshera, and Diwali are also celebrated in the campus. One of my most memorable events was the Holi Mela. Students were encouraged to set up their own food stalls with different varieties of food. Other students and visitors could purchase and enjoy the food. Apart from events, extracurricular activities such as PPT presentations, quizzes, class activities and competitions are conducted from time to time.
