Facilities and Teachers at SAL College of Engineering Ahmedabad

Overall Rating
Overall I've liked SAL College of Engineering Ahmedabad and I am happy to be part of it. I had a very great experience. I have improved a lot in past few years. My College has many facilities for extracurricular activities and all these things helped me to enjoy my College life. The College has many facilities such as a auditorium, a library, football court, canteen, etc.
 

Academics Rating
This College is affiliated to GTU Ahmedabad. I enrolled in B.E. Computer Engineering (D2D) in 2024. Admission process is pretty simple as students have to visit the campus and fulfill further formalities. There's a mid-semester exam of 30 marks (make sure to score good or even pass) then there'll be internal viva. There is also various kind of presentations on different subjects in almost every semester.
For Computer Engineering course, the fee is Rs. 37,000/- per semester so annual fee is Rs. 74,000/- per year. The fee contains tuition, lab, equipment, and other charges. No special discounts are provided by the College. Scholarships are available for up to 50%.
 

Faculty Rating
In my experience, teachers are helpful and polite. All the teachers are pursuing Ph.D & have good amount of research papers published. So they know what they're doing. Staff is mostly supportive. The teaching method depends on the teacher. Some teach on green board and some uses projector and PPTs. Faculty will clear any of your doubt that's for sure. Like I said male teachers are more approachable.
 

Placement Rating
In the 6th semester, they'll enroll you for placement & in aptitude class. Group discussion, mock interviews, and other activities are held as well. The Placement Cell is nice. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys have been part of our campus drives. So far, the average package has been between 3 LPA to 5 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no hostels at the campus of the College. PGs are available at close proximity to the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus of the SAL College of Engineering Ahmedabad is pretty big. At the entrance, we've got a big parking lot. Cars. There's also a big gym. Then inside the main campus, we've got three different College buildings. There's also a canteen. We also had vending machine. We've got a really big ground for sports. The SAL architecture building is really attractive as well. Also, we have AC classrooms, auditorium, libraries, and seminal halls. Labs have good equipment.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life for me has been a decent. If you want to just chill a bit with your friends, you can get into this College. Plenty of clubs and student activities like hackathon and tournaments. They organise a cultural event. It's very enjoyable. Festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, and others are also celebrated.

    SAL was challenging and safe for students. For me, the college was maybe not big enough to dream big, but one that can stimulate and excite you like the college has a diverse crowd and is one of the best in the city to gain some fundamental knowledge.
