My Campus Life at University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad

Overall Rating
This University majorly focuses on the academics part. It also has good rankings. The courses are simplified and well organized. Practical sessions are conducted in a very systematic manner, which makes it easy for the students to understand the procedures. Overall, this University is a much better option for pursuing agriculture degree. One of the reasons to choose this one was that it is State level Institution.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen the course B.Sc (Hons.) in Agriculture at the University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad. I joined in 2023 through the ICAR exam. I am currently at my final year. If you want to pursue this course, then this University is a good option.
The fees for my first year was Rs. 65,000/-to Rs. 70,000/-. Later from 2nd year onwards, it costs around Rs. 29,000/- in the odd semesters and Rs. 26,000/- in the even semesters.
 

Faculty Rating
This University has different departments for each subject and the faculty members are present in a quite good number. From 1st year to 3rd year, each semester has around 11 to 12 subjects with different faculty members for each section or batch. The faculty members are well-educated and holding Doctorate degrees in their respective fields. Method of teaching includes smart board, pots, and lectures. They are good and they help the students.
 

Placement Rating
At present, the placement cell is there at the premises. Since after pursuing the Agriculture course, mostly students go for competitive exams, and Master's degree.
 

Hostel Rating
There are separate hostels for girls and boys. In the girl’s hostel, there is distinct floor for students of each year. They are well maintained and good security is provided. Yes, the food menu includes mostly South Indian dishes. In-timings for the hostels are 7:00 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The University has a very big campus. Along with that a big library, canteen, different departmental blocks, and experimental fields are also present. Even there is a University clinic, which provides emergency medical facility to the students. Our University majorly focuses on the sports part so it has so many outdoor and indoor sports area and big playgrounds.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life is good. At the UAS Dharwad, clubs are present for theatre, literature, and conducting yearly events. Various festivals are celebrated as well. All in all, a sufficient number of activities are conducted from time to time.
