NIMS University is a good choice if you are looking for a medical university with fully equipped laboratories, a good patient load, and exposure to practical work. The University provides a great opportunity to excel in your field of choice with the help of amazing and knowledgeable members of the faculty. The college has good infrastructure with a nice campus life.

To get admission in medical microbiology in NIMS University you have to give an entrance test based on the subjects of your undergraduate exam. The entry requirement is 60% in your UG program. Once you clear the entrance test you will be allocated a career counselor who will provide all the required details about your course program. Once you get admission, you will get exposure to the practical knowledge of microbiology as well, as you will be given regular hospitals as well as lab postings. Here I also got experience taking practical classes with students which helped in my career ahead. But, the university does not offer any internship opportunities in this field. Overall, I would recommend this college if you want to learn more than what is provided in the books.

The faculty members are very reputed and knowledgeable in their fields. They will provide you with all the help that is needed to excel in this course. They will always provide you with their insights into practical work. The faculty members were very well updated with the changing scenarios of the course.

The placement opportunities for my course were nil. The university has average placement opportunities for the other courses that it offers. But for medical microbiology, they do not offer any placements. But as the university offers the experience related to the course, it helps in securing job even though there is no campus placement.

The hostel facilities of NIMS University are average. The rooms are three or four seated with common washrooms. The food quality is average. There are separate hostels for students pursuing MBBS and BDS. The rooms are big and spacious with balconies. However, cleanliness is not up to the mark. The hostel campus is not equipped with Wi-Fi but water and electricity facilities are provided 24*7. There is a laundry service also for the students staying there. The campus has a basket ball and badminton court inside.

NIMS University has a multi-specialty hospital. The academic blocks have big lecture theatres, examination halls, the library where you can find all the necessary books to your interest related and can accommodate a large number of students, and a big study hall. The university also offers a shopping complex, auditorium, gym, and lots of cafeterias offering a wide variety of cuisines.

NIMS campus life is average. They have restrictions till 7:30 pm to stay outdoors on campus. They only conduct one fest and sports competition that too at a very small level. They conduct programs for different festivals but all the college level with nothing very extravagant. Their main focus is to provide you with academic excellence.
