RVS College of Engineering and Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in Jharkhand. I chose this college because I found this college better than other colleges as it provides best placement and the faculty is also highly educated and some faculty are also foreign returns. As compared to other colleges the fee of this college is affordable for the students belonging to middle class families.

RVS College Of Engineering and Technology Jamshedpur offers 7 Undergraduate Programs like B.Tech and 2 Postgraduate Programs like M.Tech and MCA. From this year, the college has started 2 more Undergraduate Programs namely BBA and BCA. From the upcoming year the college is going to take admissions of students in diploma also in various branches such as Civil, Electrical, etc. The college takes admission on the basis of counseling or direct admission on the basis of marks secured in 12th class is done. The college provides scholarship to the students who got above 60% in their 10+2 and the scholarship amount can vary as per percentage secured.

Good faculty is present in the college among which some are abroad returns. All faculties have good knowledge about the courses they teach. Their teaching style is very easy to understand and they even give live examples of every concept which makes all the concepts clear for us. Almost all the faculty members are holders of the Masters degree and in fact some are PhD holders as well.

There is a Placement Cell in the college which helps students to get placements and internships. The department provides internships to those students who are not eligible to find any internship by their own.

There is a hostel and mess facility present at the college.

The college has very good infrastructure. It has four buildings each of four floors. First one is known as the Main Building where the classes for Civil branch are taken and at the ground floor all the labs of civil branch are there. The main building has an auditorium at the second floor. Each building houses different departments and lab facilities. There is a workshop and a shopping center where the students can hang out and get meals.

The college conducts the techno cultural fest known as Provinance which is organised by college faculty and student committee every year. An induction program is organised for the new batch to explore the college before they start their journey in the college. The seniors also organise fresher’s party for the new batch and the juniors organise a farewell party for the seniors. A sports program is also organised in the college which is known as Frolic.
