Institute of Innovation in Technology and Management B.Com Review By Naman Gupta

IINTM is an institute that is affiliated with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It has been one of the best colleges accredited by NAAC. My overall experience was mixed as I had good and bad to see through my college life. Coming out of school with high expectations of going to a college seen like in films it was all different at IINTM. It is not a big institute in terms of infrastructure but definitely a one which offers some great learning experience. That was the key why I chose this college. IINTM offers a great learning platform for completing your bachelor's as it has very good faculty with great knowledge about their subjects’ air-conditioned classrooms and lab all the stuff necessary for everyday going student.

I studied B.Com (Hons.). The reason for me choosing this was as I had to build a career in banking and finance and B.Com offered me with various insights into the finance world. The entry requirements aren't any difficult as anyone with commerce or science background is eligible for the course. The eligibility was something around 50 percent to 60 percent during my time.

IINTM has faculty that is amazing. The teachers are hardworking, friendly, and open to conversations and always welcoming to clear doubts. The faculty is mostly very experienced in their subjects as most of them have done master's and Ph.Ds in their respective fields. The style of teaching is very engaging as they mostly use smart board to teach as after every slide the particular slide is explained, and doubts are cleared.

For getting placement one has to apply to the placement opportunities being presented to them. There is a placement cell in the institute and from 5th semester onwards companies start visiting the campus conducting various tests and interviews of students and almost 90 percent or more students get placement. All the necessary help to get you a job is provided by the institute you just have to co-operate with them by working hard to land yourself a job.

There is no hostel facility provided by the institute. But one can easily find PGs, Hostels, rented rooms and apartments nearby the college. It is not that difficult to find a place for students coming from outside of Delhi as many of my friends used to live just a street across the college also the convenience is cheap and easy to get so that will not be a problem.

Infrastructure wise the institute is not very large and does not have blocks or such it's just one big building with 5 floors consisting of air-conditioned classrooms equipped with smart boards and three seat benches. There are 4 computer labs which were my favorite lecture to attend as the computer labs were really intriguing for everyone and all of the students took great interest in those subjects. Also, there is a big library which has more than thousands of books magazines, newspapers, etc. There is a printing stationary available so all the project files can be printed and binded from there only. There is a canteen available which hosts some cheap fast foods and a Nescafe where you can have your coffee.

The campus life was amazing, there are a lot of societies and clubs in the institute to be a part of where you can find interesting competitions being conducted, fests being organised and industrial visits being planned. Talking about fests there are two major fests one is Christmas carnival and another one is Diwali fest along with that fresher and farewell are also there to be a part of.
