BITS overall experience

Overall Rating
BITS Goa has a very well infrastructure although it rains heavily here you can go to mess, hostels and classrooms without getting wet because they built roof for paths. This institute is very beautiful although it's small compared to other branches like Pilani and Hyderabad. I choose this institute because I wanted CS course. The seniors are very friendly and talk to you without any hesitation.
 

Academics Rating
You can Enter BITS by writing entrance exam known as BITSAT the paper consists of 130 Questions+12 extra Questions (if you complete all 130 then only, we can attempt these) with +3 for correct and -1 for incorrect although questions are JEE mains level the main problem is time management you should be very quick. The main point is BITS don't have reservations. BITSAT has Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Aptitude and English. This year the cutoff increased too much compared to last year but with enough preparation u can crack it.
 

Faculty Rating
The facilities are very good all are friendly and solve all doubts. There are lectures and tutorials, lectures they teach concepts where in tutorials they explain doubts and solve practice problems. Here almost all faculties are 10+ years experienced and did PhD in their streams, so we can see how well the teachers are. Some teachers teach while some teach fast but it’s understandable.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement unit here and jobs are very good many companies come to their students.
 

Hostel Rating
For first year the hostels are recently built so they are very good but that does not mean remaining are not good they are just old. There are 4 hostels for first years each hostel has 3 floors and contain almost 330 rooms. Each hostel has a common room containing a TV, TT table, carom and chess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is divided into 4 blocks A, B, C, D all are connected by paths with rooftops so we can roam almost full campus without getting wet (in case of rain). The buildings are very different from normal buildings in style. The main part of the campus is the B dome in which auditorium and classrooms are present.
 

Campus Rating
Although the fee of the campus is very high compared to IITs and NITs there are two types of scholarship one is based on income. There are 3 main fests here known as waves which are cultural fest, Quark technical fest and spree the sports fest. The campus has many facilities in terms of sports, academics, startups, placements and everything. There is much crowding of students and it’s very free.

    College is good, startup culture is very good, and it's really good for exposure. People are friendly and seniors will help you a lot. Good for networking and all.     BITS Pilani University is among the Tier-1 Engineering colleges in India. It has fantastic research and development opportunities.     BITS Goa has honestly changed my entire life. I went in a shy, uncertain kid and came out ready to take on the world. The academics were rigorous (probably the most rigorous I have ever seen), but the environment fostered so much growth. The friends I made there are still my best friends today.
