JECRC University hostel mess food is decent

I joined JECRC University a year ago, I am a 2nd year student and my journey has been good so far and I choose this college because I didn’t scored much in my JEE exams so I wanted a college where I can get admission and can do my B.Tech in Computer Science since most of the private colleges which I found were either too much expensive or were no so good in other aspects such as placements, infrastructure or college environment. One day my uncle who live in Jaipur suggested me this college and told me to look into this college so I looked into this college and I found I quite interesting as the placements were quite good and the infrastructure and college life was quite good and the I visited the college and the first impression of this college was very good to me and the fees at which I got this college was also in my budget as It wasn’t charging as much as Thapar or Manipal but provided all the facilities quite good. The overall package this college provides is quite good the social life of this college is the one which I like the most and the rest like faculties are above average some are really good, and the sports related infrastructure of this college is quite nice, it’s not the best but you get all the basic facilities. Hostels of JECRC are really nice as each student gets their own private room which are in set of three-seater and 4-seater the maintenance is also quite good the mess food is above average you get sweets about three to four times a week and breakfast is the best part among the four meals that we get. You should take admission in this college if you didn’t score much in your JEE or any other competitive exams and you don’t have the money to go to Thapar or Manipal type big private colleges then you should definitely consider this college as your option as you will get all the basic requirements fulfilled. The best part of the year is the college fest as it is a three-day long function called JU Rhythm where different kinds of activities and functions are organized.

I am in Computer Science branch and the entry requirements for this course is based on either your JEE score or 12th boards as this college requires a minimum of 60% in boards to get admission in engineering and a basic JEE score. My motive for enrolling in this program was to become a computer science engineering student as this is one of the most booming career one can have so I also wanted to get into B. Tech computer science and engineering as in B.Tech Computer Science you can learn about various technologies that have been developed or the ones which are going to be develop as this is one of the most interesting fields to get into and nowadays a lot of information guidance and content is available on this topic so you get all the guidance that you need before pursuing a career. B.Tech Computer Science is one of the courses where the university focuses a lot on as in my batch there are almost 20 to 22 sections of computer science only including specializations which includes Data Science, AI & Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Block Chain and many more and all the specializations are in partner with various organizations. But the amount of information that I have now after spending a year in this college I got to know that the specializations are not that much good as you can do all those things in core also by giving some extra time in your day.

Faculties of JECRC are above average as some of the teachers are good at their subject and have a very good teaching style but most of the teachers feel like that, they are there just for the sake of teaching their subject to the students. Most of the facilities are B.Tech or M.Sc holder and some of faculties are PhD also as my mathematics faculty was PhD from IIT BHU and physics faculty was a PhD from IIT Kharagpur, so you get a mixed range of faculties with different background. The teaching style of these faculties varies from one to another but the most generalized way of teaching of faculty in our university is that they explain the whole chapter or topic which is going on and some would dictate the notes and the others just explain it on board but all the faculties provide the notes of the chapter that they complete and after the completion of each chapter we get an assignment which is to be submitted before the deadline provided by the faculty. We have lab classes also and most of the times they are of two hours once in a week.

Yes, JECRC University has a Placement Cell, and it helps students to get job in the industry and provides the opportunity for various kinds of internships. As the placement cell organizes a lot of workshops regarded placements, as in our first year we were provided with a workshop which had a 5 day workshop as it covered various topics like maintaining and creating a LinkedIn profile, how to create your presence on different coding platforms and various other things which are going to help us in getting good placements but overall the placements of our college is average as most of the companies that come are mass recruiters and most of the students often take sales or management jobs, despite of having a tech background. Our university also has a rule and according to that after receiving PPO from a particular organization you cannot sit in other companies’ placement exams until and unless its salary offered is the double of the offer you got. Our college also has CRT campus recruitment training which happens in the 7th semester in which they prepare the students for placements, which includes up skilling the student in various ways by strengthening the coding skills and helping students in improving their communication skills.

Yes, our university provides residential facilities, as in our university we have separate rooms which are 3-seater and 4-seater our college provides both AC and Non-AC rooms, maintenance of our hostels Is good you can get your room clean in every alternate day and you can complain. If anything is not working, we get basic internet connection as in our hostel we have Ethernet which we access through LAN cable by which you can access Google, YouTube and bunch of study related sites you cannot play OTT sites. We have three boys’ hostels and one girl’s hostel, and we have combined mess of all the hostels and the mess food is decent. Basic sports facilities are provided to all the hostlers as we have two volleyball nets, 1 basketball court, one cricket ground and one football ground and inside all the hostels, we have badminton court and in one hostel we have table tennis and there is one gym for boys in boys hostel 1 and there is a gym in girls' hostel.

Infrastructure of JECRC University is quite good as we have three academic buildings called Science Block, Engineering Block, and Law Block. The seating facilities for students are good classes are good but there is no air conditioning facility available for students in most of the classes you can see projectors and in some newly built floors we have classes with LED screens also there are 2 auditoriums and one seminar all there are two canteens. There are three boys’ hostels and one girl’s hostel. We have two volleyball courts, 1 basketball court, one cricket ground and one football ground.

Campus life of JECRC University is quite good as being a hostler my campus life during the college hours and after the college hours is nice. The crowd is very much versatile as you can find the kind of people you want to be friends with you will get to meet different kinds of people from different backgrounds most of the students are from Rajasthan only and very few are from outside Rajasthan. There are different kinds of clubs in our university like Quintessence club is for people interested in dance Maverick club is for people interested in photography Swarag Club is for people interested in singing and many more clubs which includes different coding communities and much more. Our college organizes college fest which is called JU rhythm which is of three days on First day you will have DJ night on second day there are different kinds of activities like fashion show and many other things on the 3rd day there is a celebrity night.
