Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture, Coimbatore Tamilnadu was established in the year 2007 as a private Institute to provide higher education in Agriculture. It has affiliation with the reputed ICAR. Management of the institute works under Dr. M Manickam (Chairman). The institute was established with the vision of making an Agricultural institute which enables farming communities to bring about significant changes in their life by themselves. The institution believes in making a better society by implementing cheap and affordable farming techniques which will help the farmers to get good profit and make their life a better one.
The Institution is governed by the Tami Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU). Candidates can apply online by going to the website of TNAU. Candidates can also apply offline by sending a draft in the name of the given university on the website. 65% of the admission process is done by the single window system while the remaining is done based on the eligibility criteria set by the management. Diploma in Agriculture course is available for students who have passed their 12th standard with science or vocational agriculture group. For B.Sc in agriculture, the candidate must have scored 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and zoology.
