Pimpi Chinchwad Education Trust, a registered society manages the S.B. Patil College of Architecture & Design with the aim to promote and meet the high standards of technical education. It has completed 25 years of service by providing high-quality technical education. The trust runs seven institutions situated in Nigdi, Ravet, and Indapur, S.B Patil College of Architecture & Design located at its Nigdi campus. The college was established in 2014 with the approval of Council of Architecture, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra with an affiliation of Savitribai Phule Pune University. It aims to empower students with the knowledge, skills, creative thinking, and help them to become Entrepreneurs safeguarding issues with their ground-breaking designs.
To take admission in the college students must 10+2 examinations or any diploma examination. They must appear and qualify in the national level entrance exams as NATA or JEE Main to secure their admission. During the time of the program, students must meet 75% of attendance to qualify for the final examination. It has reached several achievements in the field of technical education and ranks among the best institution in Pune. Students of the college have won several awards in different seminars, debates, or competitions. Recently, in a quiz competition held by PVPCOA two students of the college secured 3rd rank in the Architectural Quotient in 2017. With best in class infrastructure and highly skilled faculty members, the college is known among the top colleges in India for providing high-quality technical education.
The college library established in 2014 is equipped withal the modern facilities. It has approximately 650 books and 400 titles related to the field of Information Technology and Architecture. It also comprises of e-books, e-journals, periodicals, newspapers, CD/DVD, etc. The library consists of a Reference section, Journal section, Reading hall, and Stack room. It has subscribed to various online library portals to provide students with enhanced knowledge with ease. With services like reprography, scanning, photocopying high-speed internet, book bank facility, and many more give students the best learning and reading experience they can get.
