Manipur University hostel food is nutritious as well as hygienic. Every hostel has a hostel mess which offers food for the residents. Hostels also consist of a dining room and visitors room.
Manipur University hostel Rules:
Every hostel is run by a hostel committee composed of a few students (5 to 6) and the warden.
In each hostel, the warden chooses a prefect who is a member of the hostel committee. The prefect is provided with free accommodation during his/her office period.
Cooking and use of other electronic gadgets is prohibited inside the hostel rooms. Fine up to Rs. 1000 could be charged.
Basic furniture consisting of a bed, table and chair is provided to the resident in every hostel room.
No guests are allowed without proper permissions inside the hostel.
Female students must enter the hostel before 7 pm and sign the register.
Students are not allowed to take the food in their respective rooms. They must use the dining rooms in the hostels.
Maintaining "silence hours" from 9 pm to breakfast is mandatory inside the hostels.
Consumption of intoxicants or any kind of drugs is not allowed.
