AFMC Pune

AFMC Pune campus is located near Ramtekri in eastern Pune. The campus covers 119 acres of land. The infrastructure of the campus is a blend of the heritage buildings and the ultra modern facilities available in the campus. The College campus is known for its Graduate Wing which has 29 departments at present. There are smart classrooms and seminar halls and an auditorium for screening of movies. The list of the infrastructure facilities present in the college campus include:

• Library: The College library called “Ashoka Chakra Library '' was started in 1948 as “Central Library”. It is one among the oldest medical libraries in India. The library was shifted to its present location in 2010. It has a surface area of 4000 square feet with three floors. The library constitutes a BPMT room, PG section, computer club, MJAFI gallery and office, and reading area. It has the seating strength of 225 users. Its total holdings include 17000+ books, 75+ national and international journals, 23000+ bound journals, 400+ e-books, and more.
• Hostel: Separate boys and girls hostels have been constructed in the campus. Boys hostel comprises 12 blocks having three floors in each block. Over 200 rooms in the boys hostels are available on single occupancy basis and 140+ rooms on double occupancy basis. Four girls hostel blocks having four floors each to accommodate girl students. Total 272 rooms are present in the hostel. The facilities served in the hostel in all blocks include TV, table tennis, reading room with magazines and newspapers, carom, chess, etc. For parents and guardians, visitors rooms and guest rooms are available. Mess facilities are also provided to all the students residing in hostels. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served in the cadets’ mess. 
• Canteen: To cater to the food requirements of the students and staff, four canteens, namely: Gazebo, Midway, Boys Hostel Institute, and Food For Thought have been opened in the campus at different locations.
• Sports Facilities: The sports infrastructure in the campus include the following facilities: Grounds for Cricket, Hockey, and Football, 3 Basketball Courts, 2 Indoor Badminton Courts, 2 Outdoor Badminton Courts, Volleyball Court, Swimming Pool, Squash Court, and Tennis Court. Gym facilities are available separately for girl and boy students in their respective hostels.
• Medical Facilities: Being a medical college, there are various teaching hospitals namely: MH Kirkee, Sonwane Maternity Hospital, CH (SC), MH CTC, CGH, and ALC. The number of teaching beds and wards in these hospitals are different. Medical cadets with service liability will get free treatment in any service hospital and dental care (locally). All the students are required to undergo an annual medical examination.
• Other Facilities: Lecture halls, Museums, Laboratories, Cinema Theater, Demonstration Rooms, General Stores, Shopping Centre, Creche and Nursing School, etc.
