College of Agriculture Pune

There is a Placement Cell at the College of Agriculture Pune that is responsible for equipping the students with the industry-demand skills. It assists the students to choose the ideal career path by conducting different placement activities like seminars, career guidance sessions, and much more. College of Agriculture Pune placement drives are also held every academic year wherein Banks, and the fertilizer, seed & pesticide companies, etc. are invited to hire the competent students.

The campus of the College of Agriculture Pune is developed over a huge area of land. The classrooms of the College have the necessary teaching-learning aids to provide enhanced learning experience to the students.

Additionally, there is a ‘Rao Bahadur P.C. Patil Hall’ at the College of Agriculture Pune Campus that is used as a smart classroom and can accommodate around 60 students. Here, digital projection aids are installed to conduct interactive learning sessions.

• Library: The College has a central library that is present in a separate building covering an area of approximately 1550 square metres. It has a huge collection of learning materials like books, journals, reports, maps, CD-ROM, etc. in both printed and digital formats. There are several reading rooms / halls in the library wherein students can study in a serene environment.
  Ample computers have been installed at the library along with Internet connection so that students can seamlessly access the study resources and hone their subject knowledge. The other facilities available are reprographic, circulation service, reference service, book bank, conference hall, sectional libraries, and the list continues.
• Laboratories: At the College of Agriculture Pune, computing facilities are available for the students so that they can conduct their academic research efficiently and also utilise the systems for completing their academic tasks. Also, various technologically advanced laboratories are present so that students can be equipped with the in-demand practical skills. Some of the labs are listed below:

• Seminar Hall: A seminar hall is located inside the premises of the College and has a seating capacity of nearly 30 students. It is well-equipped with multimedia aids like projector screen, etc. and is utilised for organising seminars & other related academic activities efficiently.
• Canteen: A canteen is present at the College of Agriculture Pune wherein the students and staff members are served with different types of snacks and beverages at subsidized rates.
• Hostel: There are around 3 separate hostels for boys and nearly 5 for girls inside the campus. The College of Agriculture Pune Hostels include ‘Shivneri’, ‘Sinhgad’, ‘Indrayani’, and ‘Godavari’, to name a few. In total, the residential spaces have about 346 rooms in which 840+ students can be accommodated on double and triple sharing basis.
  The room facilities include bed, study table, chair, etc. At the mess, the boarders are served with hygienically prepared food. For a comfortable stay, amenities & services like sports, gym, medical, ambulance, Wi-Fi connection, security, etc. are provided.
• Sports: The students of the College are provided with adequate outdoor game facilities like Grounds, Running Track, Courts, and other spaces for Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, etc.
  Sports Complex and Indoor Hall are present for games like Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, and several more. Other than this, a Gymkhana Hall is located inside the premises for the students to exercise using the training equipment and improve their overall health.
• Medical Facilities: To ensure that students get prompt medical attention, a fully-functional dispensary has been developed by the College in its campus. In addition to this, health camps are conducted regularly for the welfare of the students and staff members.
• Other Facilities: Cultural Hall, Students Conference Hall, Co-Operative Store, ‘Shirname Hall’, and many more amenities are present at the campus of the College.
