A bachelor in Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate degree. It deals with the pharmaceutical science that includes development, production, and marketing of drugs/medicines.
Any candidate with physics and chemistry as core subjects in (10+2) level, along with one of these subjects Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer scienceis eligible to apply. You can pursue this program in any of the four departmental specializations Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmachemistry, and Pharmacognosy.
Candidates who have completed a Diploma program in pharmacy with minimum 50% marks from a PCI & AICTE approved institute are eligible to directly enter in 2nd year of B.Pharm.
The Master in pharmacy is a two-year master degree program where a B.Pharm graduate is eligible to apply with adegree from AICTE and PCI approved Institute. This course helps to leverage on skills already developed at the graduation level. The minimum aggregate to enroll is 50% in B.Pharm. Also, GPAT qualified are preferred.
The program is available in 2 specializations, and students can choose amongst the two as per their interests. They are Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology.
D.Pharm or Diploma in Pharmacy is a two-year undergraduate diploma program where basic concepts related to pharmaceutical industry are taught and after completing, you can either opt for higher studies or open a registered chemist shop.
